Don Coatney Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 Without moisture there is no rust. This may be the wave (pun intended) of the future. Follow this link and watch both videos. Thoughts and comments welcome. http://www.eaa.org/news/2011/2011-11-23_neverwet.asp Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 sounds too good to be true...but I believe you must first start with a corrosion free panel and be able to treat all sides equally to be effective..any hdden surfaces and your corrosion contines..but if you neutralize the corrosion first..if nothing else may be the last time you may be concerned of rust out in your lifetine..the silicon based product could be hard to remove for repair and repaint...might be agood time to invest in fish eye eliminator stock.. 3dodgedoobie Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 Neat product. Car washes, detail company's, will hate it. Blk vehicle owners love it if safe for paint. As far as removal dawn dishwasher soap removes wax, grease, oil. So that may cut it off. Of course hate to see the price. Quote
oldodge41 Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 Reminds me of RainX which works well but does not last long and is a pain to apply on old glass. I wonder if it is breathable once put on fabric? If it is safe on paint and more durable than wax it could be a big hit with the automobile crowd, depending on price. I also purchased a product to keep brake dust from accumulating on wheels that worked but was not cost effective due to its lack of longevity. Intriguing but I am a doubting Thomas. If it works it will probably be too expensive to be practical. Quote
Mark D Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 Cool product... cant help but to wonder what the MSDS for this will look like... Spill clean up? Ingestion? Quote
Rusty O'Toole Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 We can start by using it on our windshields and spark plugs. Would be fantastic in car wax, and for coating the undersides of cars. Self cleaning stain free upholstery would be nice too. If it will stand heat, coat the inside of your motor to prevent sludge buildup. Wonder if they sell stock in the company. As long as it doesn't cause hives or galloping dandruff I can see this stuff being more popular than WD40. Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 Hives and galloping dandruff might be the least of your worries. "I might be growing a third eye, but by God, I'm dry as a bone." Quote
TodFitch Posted November 28, 2011 Report Posted November 28, 2011 Seeing the chocolate syrup falling off the white sneaker immediately brought the old movie "The Man in the White Suit" to mind for me. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0044876/ Quote
garbagestate 44 Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 It sort of reminds me of that old Alec Guinness movie "The man in the white suit" Quote
Greenbomb Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Maybe it wasn't the white suit they, were after, but the 200mpg carburetor in the right pocket!!! Quote
