woodie49 Posted August 26, 2011 Report Posted August 26, 2011 Wow. Working through that website really gives you an appreciation for what a project this has been. The car looks fantastic and the paint is spectacular. Concratulations on getting this done. I am not sure I could have worked through such an extensive project, and my hat is off to those who can. You should be SOOO proud. Quote
Chester Brzostowski Posted August 26, 2011 Author Report Posted August 26, 2011 Thanks all, It’s been some vacation, an earth quake and now a hurricane. I would normally stay out here on the Delaware shore until Sunday but we are leaving tomorrow. The Cape Mary Ferry stops running tonight and will restart service again on Monday. Somebody told me that they closed the highway south to Ocean City. There are only three ways onto Delmarva Peninsula. The southern Bay Bridge, the western Bay Bridge and Rt1 north to Wilmington. I hope I can get across the western Bay Bridge tomorrow. I don’t think this hurricane is supposed to be here until some time Saturday night. ??? LoL Chet… PS… Marilyn is a little under the weather these days. Hopefully she is feeling better in Mid to late September. I promise I will post a picture. Quote
NatesSedan Posted August 26, 2011 Report Posted August 26, 2011 Looks fantastic. You have really earned your maiden voyage. It would be great to get a video of the first trip out. -Nate Quote

Don Coatney Posted August 26, 2011 Report Posted August 26, 2011 Looks great Chet; I see you have moved the 29 to Delaware to join your 48. Do you plan on taking the 48 back to Virginia once it is running? Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted August 26, 2011 Report Posted August 26, 2011 great job chet, what is to become of the spare motor i see there? Quote
Mopar Mick Posted August 27, 2011 Report Posted August 27, 2011 Well done Chet. Your Plymouth looks bloody beautiful. Mick. Quote
Chester Brzostowski Posted August 27, 2011 Author Report Posted August 27, 2011 Falconvan, I got the rug set from Kanter. I know there have been some negative comments about their quality but the rug fit correctly. Their rug set has the front seat kick plate marked on the rear piece but I ordered and extra yard of material so that the area under my front seat would also be carpeted. By cutting the kick plate piece from the rear rug might leave some bare floor visible depending on where you position your seat to drive. With a single spare yard of material I joined two pieces together with carpet tap then glued the remnant to the kick panel. You can’t see the seam. Don, As you know I don’t have a garage in Delaware so the car will visit from time to time but will stay out in Delaware. That’s were I spend the majority of my weekends. Rodney, That motor you see is a newly rebuilt motor for my 29. I picked it up in Michigan about a year ago. I have a D24 230 waiting in the wings for a time when I am out of projects. Chet... Quote
