48P15Annie Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Ya know...I kinda like it. Normally not into these kinds of rods, but it looks kinda cool! Quote
brentembry Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Sorry to be negative, but that's terrible. Terrible. Quote
RobertKB Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 It's another case of the heart is in the right place, a little tweaking and it still would not fill the bill.I'm sure one of the 50 looks belonged to KB, what say yea Robert:eek:? Frankie, I say if I wanted a vehicle with a mini-van front end, I would buy a mini-van. I don't like it and think the original style front end looks way better. Maybe the guy had a bad grille and couldn't find anything decent to replace it so went this route although the original grille looks to be there on second look. Too bad, the rest of the car looks original. My mother is from Yorkshire and she often says, "There's nowt so strange as folk!" Quote
WatchingWolf Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 yep, Wisconsin plate. Should have known....we can't do anything like the rest of the country.... Quote
RobertKB Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Like the James Herriot VET series...Gerrout ye daft bugger! It is an ugly child isn't it. Great books and TV series. Maybe the builder of the car was thinking, "Where there's muck, there's brass.":p Quote
thrashingcows Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Chrysler 300 front end on your old D-24...not a match made in heaven...or anywhere if it were up to me. Sorry don't think it works even a little bit. Quote
RobertKB Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Percheron waste for greenbacks. That has a much more poetic ring to it! Actually, for 31 years, I earned a living teaching junior high kids Language Arts (English, grammar, comprehension, literature, etc.). Nothing like spending your working life with 13-15 year olds. I love kids that age and it certainly kept me with a young outlook on life. However, I jokingly tell people, "When I die, I won't spend any time in purgatory as I already did 31 years there.":p Quote
Robert Horne Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Not my cuppa, but it took some thought and elbow grease. Now this car would be great if he added some Texas Steer Horns, fender skirts, big mud flaps, and of course some Fuzzy Dice. Quote
greg g Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Hmmmmm, no comments from the nitpicking boo birds, yet negative comments given a pass. Perhaps its photos do not do it justice. Quote
BeBop138 Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 It kinda looks like it`s smiling at ya----like something from the movie "CARS"---his deal---just different............Lee Quote
Niel Hoback Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 This thread is wavering, so I will help it. A: I am not real fond of that front end, but I couldn't do that nice a piece of work if I my life depended on it, so, more power to him. B: I have spent a few weeks in York just for fun and it was the most interesting, fun, place I've ever been. I would go back in a minute. The nicest people in the world. C: Frankie47, I hope your attitude spreads throughout the forum and beyond. Quote
Greenbomb Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Don't really like it, but can appreciate it. Good work and at least it fits. Of course, it may just be photoshopped. Go easy on the fuzzy dice. Quote
falconvan Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 For some insane reason that I cant fathom; I like it. The color is all wrong but lower it and give it a silver/black two-tone; I think you'd have something pretty slick. Quote
