I'm trying to hunt down a pivot stud for my Clutch torque bar. Mine broke off the frame one day while driving and i've been having trouble finding one ever since.

Called Bernbaum's because it was named in the catalog and he ended up sending me the clutch side pivot. we even described parts to each other before finalizing the sale. "Is it a bracket with two hole in it?" "No, it's a ball joint at the end of a 1/2" stud." Called him about that. said he had a bad feeling about it when he sent it in the first place...yeah great help to me. And with the post off hours around here i haven't had a chance to send it back.

I'm ranting now. Anyway, i need to find this part. Looked all over eBay. Haven't found it yet. Found them for other makes/models/years buut not for a 49-52 dodge/plymouth/etc.

If any of you have had to replace this part, or have an idea as to where i can find one, please let me know. Other wise i'm just going to have to get one machined for me.

Chop off the broken end at the appropriate spot and weld on to the head of a grade 8 bolt.

"Borth Enterprises" (bfoxhead@aol.com) is parting out a D-24, also. Doesn't list that part per se, but there's probably one on the car.

I've seen clutch pivot balls in the 'Help' section of auto parts stores. If it's not on display, the store might have the R&B / Help catalog to look in. Maybe one of those would work.

This is probably the correct clutch torque shaft frame stud for your car. Approx. 1-3/4" long X 3/4" hex.
