I'll make a deal w/ ya...I'll drink your share of beer, and you can drink my share of vodka!

agreed

they have lots of beer, but I think the MN beers are better personally, not that I'm swayed for any reason....

I love Grain Belt Premium! Wish we could get it out here on the west coast... :-(

I personally have yet to taste a beer I could actually drink. Vodka is more my thing

My personal opinion is that beer is an acquired taste, just like coffee or tea, or whiskey or rum or grapefruit juice for that matter.

When I acquire it, I taste it. Some I prefer over others but I do like a variety. Depends on what I'm in a mood for.

According to Google, one source says Arizona is tops in per capita consumption, but maybe in total gallons consumed in the state we win.

Not yet...is that a new one? Last time I was back there was one year ago, and Permium was what was being served up. Drank plenty of Schmidt's too.

I've always heard that WI has more bars per capita than anywhere else, but I don't know how true it is. I do know that there certainly are a lot of them 'round here. ;)

sounds like you gotta go up north some more!

we have land near a town of about 10,000, and there are roughly 1 1/2 dozen bars around! there is also a town of roughly 15, yes, 15, with 2 bars and nothing else!

Wow, I mentioned the salvage yard was near the cranberry bogs and somehow the topic got turned to beer and alcohol! Gotta love this forum!

new about last spring. Some people don't like it but I like it better than regular. Maybe we should figure out shipping?

I like that LaCrosse Lager. Isn't that brewery in LaCrosse the old Old Style plant? Where the silos are painted like a six pack?

Oh, and about that salvage yard......... I forgot.

Yup, when G. Heileman Brewery was bought out and the LaCrosse brewery was shut down some locals purchased it and reopened it as the City Brewery Company. I believe the grain silos are still there but they aren't painted like a 6-pack of Old Style anymore.

Still there and still open for business. Brewing for several brands. I know for sure they brewing some Sam Adams. Also a small brewery in New Glarus, used to be one in Potosi, maybe still is. Several local wineries here too.

I like the New Glarus beers. Spotted Cow is one of my favorite beers. Although Fat Squirrel and Totally Naked are pretty good too. I mean... where else can you drink Total Naked in public? :D:D
