That was my thoughts too Merle. Of course if you have the right kinda slip joint you'd just have to make sure you lined it up when you put the rear end back in place.

That's what I was thinking. Must have a shaft suspended in the frame so that they can slide the trans into it at one end and the rear axle into it at the other end. Also, no coolant in it either. They must not drive it far.

I personally seen a club from MD dothe same with a Model T. I can not remember the time limit but it is very fast.
