We're always wondering what our trucks are worth at auction in restored condition. Here's an impressive restoration for sale on e-Bay with almost five days to go. Obviously the seller is not a Forum member as he mis-identified the model and some facts.

Sit back and watch the bidding.

Does that engine have a "P" on the head? I noticed someone questioned it.

I have a 51 with the same grill so it looks correct.....VERY nice truck...but a lot of hard work and detail...probably just break even on that venture

The nose was redesigned for the '51 - '53 models.

I saw the "P" too, but according to his reply to Reg's question... "No it doesn't, You're seeing things." ;)

Nice lookin' resto. It looks like he was a good customer for Roberts. I think the interior should have been grey/maroon instead of brown.

That was me asking about the P. He says I made a mistake. I guess I have lying eyes when they see a big P across from #5 plug.

Yep, looks like a "P" from here.

The "P" is so big, and so obvious, that he probably didn't notice it. He seems willing to answer all question the best way he can. Its a darn good looking ride.

Oh I thought you were coming to build me one as a wedding present.

Thanks Reg. If I had the money I'd hire Pete to design it and you to build it. But I think it'll probably be a while before I get a garage.

I've been watching it on eBay...up to $15,100.00 with 13 hours to go.

Hope whoever wins it doesn't turn into a deadbeat bidder.

I'll be able to use this auction to justify the insurance value I'm putting on the truck. I plan on driving mine a lot and want to have proper coverage.

Call me nuts, but I think when I'm done with mine (after the Hemi swap), I'd be able to get 15k for it easy. Not that I plan on selling it fast...but you never know.

Final winning bid among 32 bidders was $17,200 for this B4B. Not bad during these tough economic times but it was a mighty pretty truck. Maybe we have a new Forum member coming.
