Greenbomb
You gotta stay in that ratty ol' place with that crummy weather clear through the week end, huh? I spose you have to spend time loafin' and looking at cars, too. Oh, well- you'll persevere. Have fun!
1940plymouth
Dennis, Have fun, no settings like that here in the Catskills, in fact today rain is in the forecast with snow tonight and again in the morning. Enjoy the beautiful grounds and show this weekend
Dennis Hemingway
This car started life as a 1941 Plymouth. Dennis:eek:
LuckyDevil
Hmmm. I can respect the hard work involve in that build, I just don't care for the end results. Wheels look like they should be on a little honda civic with a fart can muffler and a wing.

Dennis Hemingway
Well, at the awards this morning the 41 Plymouth took the Presidents Award (Best of Show). Here is a photo of my 48 and some other vehicles at the show. We had a lots of fun and I had a lot of people stop and talk to me about the P15; The temp was in the mid 80's to low 90's all weekend. The rest of the photos will be on hotrodhotline.com later this week, and there are a lot of photos as there was over 300 cars at the show. power_hungry
I stayed there last fall (visiting friends in the area)... wish the show had been happening then. Not much into casinos, really.
Dennis Hemingway
I stayed there last fall (visiting friends in the area)... wish the show had been happening then. Not much into casinos, really. That's why I like this show, I can stay out with the cars and my wife can sit at the slot machines and we are both happy. And as a added bonus she won enough to paid for the trip (room & gas). Dennis:cool:

T120
...Good photos,Dennis.Nice cars and great location.Looks like a good time.As I was looking at your pictures I saw there was an absence of "tuner cars" and I started chuckling to myself as my thoughts drifted back to an open car event I attended some years back...Parking space was limited and I parked my old car in a spot amidst a bunch of tuner cars. They pretty much ignored me,but I kind of took in the scene. It was summer time and these cars are "chick magnets".There was an abundance of young women in summer wear comparing body piercings, tattoos, and having a good time with their friends...After briefly checking out the surrounding cars .I left my car there and wandered off looking for some company in my own age bracket. What really prompted me to wander off wasn't the cars or the young people,I found the loud "boom chang" music was kinda bothersome
Dennis Hemingway
That is another thing I like about this show, they have a DJ during the day and a band at night playing oldies, if you turn on your own music they will ask you to please turn it off and if you don't, the Tribal Police will escort you and your vehicle off the property. One of our club members won Best of the 70's with his Blue 70 Mustang Mach 1 and he also won Best Mustang at the show. They had a 50/50 drawing each day, On Thursday the take was $500. On Friday it was $1,150. and On Saturday it was $1,500. We tried but didn't win. Dennis:cool:
T120
Having some control over the background music does sound like an excellent plan, rather than listening to competing audio systems.Sorry to hear you missed out on the 50/50,at least your wife came through on the slots
