aero3113 Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 I am sure this has come up before but what do you guys think are the hardest to find Mopar options and parts? Quote
Jim Yergin Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 You might want to take a look at this thread. http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=18526&highlight=rare Jim Yergin Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 Riiight. There was a pretty good discussion not long ago. Quote
JIPJOBXX Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 This may not be a factory item but it is probably the only one you will ever see! It is a six volt vacuum cleaner that plugs into your cigarette lighter outlet. I do not know the age of this unit but the photo on the brochure shows a pre WWII Car or one just after the war. 1947PLEVY Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 Normally, it's the part I'm looking for.. John Quote

Dave Bohn Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 I'm always amazed how high the prices go on ebay for the 6v defroster fans with the rubber blades. I'd like one, but the price is a deal breaker. As high as they are I'd think someplace would reproduce them. Quote
old rat 49 Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 I have an original trailer hitch for my p15 to pull my Teardrop. Don't think it is to common an item. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted March 26, 2010 Report Posted March 26, 2010 Have you got any pictures of that hitch? Can I make one? Quote
aero3113 Posted March 27, 2010 Author Report Posted March 27, 2010 I have this Spare tire valve extension. I do not want to drill a hole in my car so I am thinking about putting it up on ebay, it is mint. I think this is a rare accessory. Quote
aero3113 Posted March 27, 2010 Author Report Posted March 27, 2010 Do you guys know what years this Spare tire valve extension was offered as an accessory? Quote
Flatie46 Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Aw come on, it saves time and effort says so right on the box. Besides you could be the only kid on your block to have one. Quote
kevinanderson Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 I've got one of these on my '48. Everyone thinks I drilled a hole for an airshock valve. Quote
Young Ed Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 Im not sure if its just my luck but I sold one of those exact same tire valves recently. After seeing 2 go for almost 200 bucks I figured I'd sell mine. I got 65. Quote
aero3113 Posted April 5, 2010 Author Report Posted April 5, 2010 My spare tire valve extension just sold for $158.50 on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180487333219 Quote
Flatie46 Posted April 5, 2010 Report Posted April 5, 2010 Don't know what you had in it but sounds like good money. Quote
aero3113 Posted April 5, 2010 Author Report Posted April 5, 2010 (edited) I took a chance and bought it for $45 from a ebay seller in Sweden with intent to sell. I was thinking about putting it on my car but did not want to drill. I have seen them go for around $150 - $200 so I put it back up on ebay. I think I did good on my return.
