toledod24 Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Recently picked up a dodge and joined the board and finally got around to taking some photos of the dodge. Not sure what direction i want to go with it or tackle first. Quote
Young Ed Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 What to do or what to tackle first??? That car is perfect! Your tackle first should be to put some gas in and what direction depends on where you are driving it to Quote
toledod24 Posted February 25, 2010 Author Report Posted February 25, 2010 Its a 20 footer though, get up close and it needs love, was orignally red so some of that is flaking through, interior is pretty original but all there so thats on the list at some point. It's a runner driver though so its a lot better then some of the stuff i've brought home before. Turn signals and seat belts is number one on the list so far at this point. I've already massaged out that crease above the pass headlight and its got a patch thats in the rear fender that needs cut out and replaced correctly with flush steel Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 IF you need directions they are as follows: first you head south in the car toward my place..bring the title bill of sale with you.. Quote
Uncle-Pekka Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Hey, Your car looks just great - Congratulations for the deal! I like the color as well - I suppose mine was originally close to that shade. "Lullaby blue" Location of the radio antenna is unusual. Usually it is mounted on the cowl btw. hood and driver side a-pillar. Quote
toledod24 Posted February 25, 2010 Author Report Posted February 25, 2010 The antenna is already slated to go, i'm gonna pull it and patch the hole, the radio doesn't have any guts inside it so if i ever put a radio in it i'll come up with something better. Sad part is the antenna is like 20ft tall if you extend it up, must've be able to pick up alien transmissions with that thing. BobT-47P15 Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Great looking car - congratulations. Welcome to the forum. Just need to get a cowl mount antenna that goes on the edge of the curve like original. Quote
randroid Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 toledod24, Welcome to this absurd circus; this is one forum you'll want to stick with regardless of what we might say. Nice looking drive. As has been said before, get in it and drive and keep driving until you know her quirks and you'll have a better idea of what your priorities will be. Good luck! -Randy Quote

Don Coatney Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 Very nice looking car. If you need parts there is a bone yard called Hog Heven not far from Toledo. Click on the link below. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v65/DonCoatney/Others%20Cars/Hog%20Heven/ Quote
toledod24 Posted February 26, 2010 Author Report Posted February 26, 2010 That place is like 10 minutes from my house, i'm gonna have to check it out, i sure could use that headlight chrome trim ring from the dodge in the bottom pic.... =) Very nice looking car. Don Coatney Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 I was on a road trip a few years ago and just stumbled on that bone yard on my way to Watertown. The grill on the Dodge also looks pretty good. You might want to pick it up just in case. Quote
Young Ed Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 Interesting to note the paint condition of the two similar vintage mopars. Quote
Frank Elder Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 I agree with grabbing the grille...you may never find one in that shape again, and when your are looking for headlamp doors always grab both unless damage is involved.....very nice sedan:) Quote
old rat 49 Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 Wish the one I got the other day looked. that good. Nice ride. Enjoy Quote
