Mr. Belvedere Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 Where do you go to get a new lining for your emergency brake? I've got one that is down to the rivets and starting to dig into the drum. Thanks Quote
JIPJOBXX Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 Go to a good parts store not your chain type and have them locate a service that will reline your -e-brake. I did this and not only did I have the e-brake relined but got an extra lining just for GP. Quote
Young Ed Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 www.brakeplace.com will either sell you the supplies or rebuild it for you Quote
MacGyver Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 I had mine re-lined at a place called "Auto Brake, Clutch, and Gear" in Milwaukee, Wis. They did a good job at a reasonable price. That's a long ride from Banning, Ca but you may have a similar shop out that way. Mark Quote

A bit closer than Milwaukee for those living in Southern California. I found them the old fashioned way, through the local telephone directory yellow pages. Quote

Thanks I went to a farm machinery brake and clutch repair shop. 3 hours and extremely reasonable. They even cleaned and painted it for me. Quote

When I dealt with these folks they were downtown, Milw. just off of Water St. Is this their new location and phone number? ('new' meaning within the last 8yrs or so) Quote
Merle Coggins Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 WOW. I just looked them up. They are on 12775 W. Silver Spring Dr. I work at 13001 W. Silver Spring Dr. I didn't even know they were there. We used to use Brake, Clutch, and Drum down on 49th and State for clutch and brake relining back when we used to do more work on old friction cranes. Merle Quote
