Showed up at a cruise in today. 48 Delux with radio. solid driver. Owner says he has a bunch of old Dodges, 52 coupe, 37 pickup, and a couple baket cases.

Looks like my truck colors

Cool sedan. I like the color combination. I'm not sure I've seen another P-15 painted like that.

No, never a fan of corvettes and in most cases those who drive them.

A week ago I was driving my 47 and a Corvette club was coming out of a parking lot. It was a 4-way stop, and I waved one of them ( a late model Vette, all tricked up) through. The guy was showing off for his buddy and stood on it as he made the turn which then started fishtailing, only missed me by about a foot when he over-corrected and finally banged it off of the street curb, which at least stopped him from further oscillations. Definitely scratched up his polished rims, if they didn't bend them.

Don't you just love mid-life crisis drivers?

Hate to say this Norm but even with a Corvette you probably wouldn't be one of those people.

So will the vette get you to the end of the drive way faster???? Seems probably the Plymouth and a vette would be about the same in reverse....getting back in to garage might be quicker though.

Well.........I've actually been looking at a few later model Corvettes lately. I guess that's what some people would say about me too' date=' if I were to finally buy one. But so be it.:D

That said, you find people that fit that category driving any kind of car.;)[/quote']

Yeah, even suburbans :P

Norm;

You dont need to buy a Corvette for people to say those things about you.:D

So you have never riden in nor drove a Corvette? I owned one when I was between wives. I bought it in search of lust and it worked very well as I found lots of lust:cool:

I like the color combo as well although I cant imagine looking through the colors and saying..."yep those two will work!"

On the topic of corvettes...you know the difference between a Corvette and a Porcupine?

On a Porcupine the pricks are on the outside.

Hope this isn't too much for the forum...lol

I doubt that the vette would get me to the end of the driveway faster, if I did get one. I still would not go any faster than I do in any other car. Seriously though, I have been thinking about looking at them closer. I've seen several nice looking ones in the 70's and 80's models for sale around here lately. Price seems reasonable too. Just like the bunch of old cars I've seen for sale around here lately. I think there are a lot of people getting rid of their toys due to the economy right now.

That said though, I'm usually not a big fan of sport cars of any kind to own. Primarily because they usually have a stiffer suspension and ride kinda rough. But.......still might be worth a look. I've never ridden in or driven a Corvette before.

I really like the 50's model years of the vettes. That's why I ask if you took a picture of that red one. Looked like late 50's or a 60 model. Those are too high buck for me to consider owning though.[/quote']

I had a '84 (star trek dash board) C4 project car just before I got my P-15. They're like working on a boat. (You have to always look for a ground point.)

Carvettes are fun, and they're quick, but I'll take Evansville iron over Bowling Green fiberglass any day.
