Merle Coggins Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 Yes, I just heard that on the radio this morning about Ricardo Montalban. http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2009/01/14/arts/AP-Obit-Montalban.html?_r=1 Quote

moparjack44 Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 You think his casket will be lined with Genuine Corinthan Leather:rolleyes: ? Sorry, couldn't resist . Jack Quote
Young Ed Posted January 15, 2009 Author Report Posted January 15, 2009 From what I read the Corinthian leather is a made up name. Its supposed to make material from new jersey sound like it was imported from some fancier place. Quote
Normspeed Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 Young Ed, I'm from Joisey. I can't imagine a fancier place:) Quote
Young Ed Posted January 15, 2009 Author Report Posted January 15, 2009 I was there once. I can honestly say that was enough. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 I had a Cordoba once, I always said it had "Corinthian Vinyl" Quote
John Reddie Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 Check Turner Classic Movies for a film titled "Mystery Street". It was made in 1950 and stars Ricardo. It is a great film and has some nice vintage cars in it too. John R Quote

Young Ed Posted January 15, 2009 Author Report Posted January 15, 2009 I was on a business trip in NYC but we flew into and out of NJ. I was only there for a few hours waiting for my flight out of there and that was enough. Quote
Tom Skinner Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 I grew up in New Jersey and haunted all of Fred Zeder, Carl Breer and Owen Skeltons areas of test drives of Walter Percy Chrysler's first Six. Eagle Rock Avenue - West Orange. South Mountain Reservation - South Orange. I visited Mechanic Street in Newark. This is where all of Chrysler began, Summit, Newark. Walter Percy and his three Musketeers. Also a side note on Ricardo M. - he had one of the best Chrysler Advertisments that were ever made. Especially if New Jersey Leather was in those Cordobas. Say a prayer for a Classy Dude. He really earned it. Tom Quote
