Brendan D25 Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 It's only a few hours away from New Years Day here in Newfoundland, so I would like to wish everyone on this forum and those who visit a Happy New Year. Cheers, Brendan. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 Mary Ann and I took the car and went for our traditional New Years Eve lunch at Fred & Red's spaghetti & chili joint in Joplin. Weather was nice and sunny, just fairly cold. The restaurant has been around since the 1940s....the only seating is a U-shaped counter with stools. If seats are full, you just stand around and wait your turn. Spaghetti Red is one of their specialties.....which is what we always get. Max and I are playing muic for a private party at some people's home tonight. Wishing everyone a great 2009! Bob Quote

busycoupe Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 Happy New Year from Massachusetts! My coupe is safely put away in the garage, we had 6+ inches of snow today. Jane & I finished clearing the driveway then had a wonderful new years dinner. Happy New Year to everyone on the forum! I can't wait until the weather warms up in '09. Dave B. Quote

John Mulders Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 Also a happy new year from Curacao, 2009 is still a couple of hours away but I am not sure I will stay up, fever last night was almost 103. Almost drowned in my bed during the night, but I think I got rid of most of it. But dead tired now. Haven't been ill for 12 years or so and now I have had the flu twice and a bad cold in 1 and a half month.... Anyway, next year I hope to spend more time on the P15 ! Thanks for all the advice and friendly words in 2008. John Quote
Brendan D25 Posted January 1, 2009 Author Report Posted January 1, 2009 Wishing everyone a Happy New Year-and Brendan,I suppose you'll be toasting the New Year with a "muffled screech" Ralph, it seems the " Famous Newfoundland Screech" is not as popular as it used to be. The most popular liquor here now is Lamb's Palm Breeze. Maybe we're not as tough as we used to be. Quote
Don Coatney Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 Happy new year to all. I did my usual and went to bed around 9:00. Looks like the new year arrived just fine without my full and complete attention as I was sawing logs. The sun is shining and there is frost on the ground. I will take my P-15 for a drive today. greg g Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 Woke up to 8 degrees on the thermometer. Sun is shining nicely on our 8 inches of new snow. Going to get to hanging Studebaker fenders from the floor joists in the basement. Make some room for a warm work space for the hood. Maybe get some paint on it during the course of the week. Happy New year!!! Quote
