Well, it finally happened today here in the Catskills, we have gotten our first snow of the season, the town has put down plenty of SALT, so now the '40 will have to stay put in the garage until we get some rain and warmer weather to clean off the roads

We aren't suppose to get the heavy snow that they are calling for in Syracuse or the Plattsburgh area, but they are calling for 3-7 inches of snow down here.

I had a tad of frost on the windsheild in jolly ole middle Georgia this morning..it is still what I call brisk out there..not a very high temp though the sun be shining..the wind has keep a lid on most activity out of doors...yet to the cave I head for a bit of primer work.

Bright sun and mid 60's , be nice tomorrow too, then mid 40's for Thursday and warm again for the weekend.

No sign of snow yet this season in my area...it's coming, though ;(

Mountains are getting dumped on, some passes are closed, but we be smilin' here. :)

I go with what dezeldoc said, "I really hate this BAD weather."

I've been out helping my neighbor work on his Jeep today and it's still shorts and t-shirt weather.

If you are going to send any of that white stuff this way, make sure that it stays on Mr. Belvedere's side of the mountain.:D

Dennis

But it's a Dry Heat!

One thing I have enjoyed forever in my life is the smell of the first time the furnace fires off for the winter. The smell makes my stomach grumble for a hot bowl of chili. I can almost count the number of times I have missed this event in my life and this year is one of them. Lisa had to fire off the furnace a week or so ago and I am (unfortunately) on the road in in search of fortune and fame.

Still snowing here, along with being very windy, about three inches so far.

School was let out early so my wife came home and put a beef potroast in the oven along with with potatoes and carrots, then she made home made gravy. YUM YUM YUMMY

Don, we haven't turned the furnace on for heat as of yet, don't want to use the fuel oil, but we have had the woodstove going for over a week now

Our area was spared, but just to our north and northeast, the snow was heavy. I'm not ready for this cold weather #$%&*. I wish Mr. Belvedere could ship some of the weather conditions he's grumbling about to N.E. Pennsylvania !!! I'm a winter-hater, and have been as long as I can remember. If it wasn't for family and friends, I'd be outta here, and headed for warmer climates.:D

We had our first snow about three weeks ago but since then we have moved back into our "Indian Summer" with lots of sunshine and warm temperatures. In fact today we were 25C (77F) which made us the hot spot in Canada. Supposed to be the same tomorrow. I actually got my shorts out and wore them again today! Took the '48 Dodge D25 Club Coupe out for about two hours today just cruising slowly down some back country roads.

Well we have about 3 inches of wet heavy, It's melting as I can hear the run off going down the downspout. With all the leaves on it could be a real mess if it keeps up.

We only had a trace in the Milwaukee area. They said it came yesterday afternoon. However, it must have came and left in a flash because I didn't see any.:) But........Fall, winter and spring wouldn't be the same without a little of the white stuff.

Tim and Don. Why does it have to be cold to eat chile? I like a good bowl any time of the year, regardless of the temperature. Many times during the summer months when it's in the 90's with high humidity I'll have chile when the wife goes for her club meetings once a month. She won't fix it then because she doesn't like it in the summer, makes her too hot she says. So.........I just buy a jar of the Hormel ready made chile for myself.

But guess I'm a little different. If I eat ice cream in the summer, I then need a hot cup of coffee to wash it down.:)

Norm;

I am talking real home made chili. Not that Hormel crap. If that was the only thing available I would not like chili.

Hamburger, sausage, tomato juice, kidney beans, whole stewed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, hot peppers, hot sauce, some like onions but I dont, a bit of chili seasoning, and a bit of what ever looks good from the spice shelf.

Add crackers and shreaded cheese to the bowl and chow down.

I would rather eat Pablem than that Hormel crap.

Already below zero here, first snow is expected on Friday. I truly hope SoCal area stays warm for couple more weeks, we are heading there for vacation in less than two weeks time. I'm thrilled!
