  1. I really like the Power Wagon ad with the autumn background. ?
  2. Dec. 18: Clear roads and a warm day. Perfect for a drive to work! Picture number one: filling up at the gas station at 4:15 a.m. Picture number two: first one at work, parked next to the shop plow truck. Heater worked great as usual, I didn't even need it on the way home. ?
  3. Man that is sweet! Any updated pics?
  4. Cool! Congrats!
  5. I draw and oil paint. I like scary things. My latest pencil drawing.?
  6. Hi Keith, my engine and transmission are totally different than yours so it was a different operation. My transmission weighs about 70 lbs, a friend of mine just grabbed it and carried it across the floor when we unbolted it from the engine. I really can't give you any advice on pulling yours, but I will say this: as long as you have the engine and transmission out, do as much work as you can afford and feel comfortable with, that way there are no regrets once you have it back in. Maybe it doesn't need a full rebuild, but do all the other things you mentioned and do them right. You'll be glad you did.
  7. I've seen the Missouri, Wisconsin, and New Jersey close up, but never boarded any of them. We refueled from the Wisconsin in the Persian gulf back in 1991during Desert Storm. It was an awesome sight being next to it as we were steaming along.
  8. Day after Thanksgiving: Drove the EcoDiesel to a nearby tree farm. Took my little chainsaw with and we cut down our own tree. After they wrapped up the tree and loaded it in the truck, we stepped inside for some hot apple cider and cookies. The old Studebaker truck: they had just pulled it out of the woods this year to use as a display. There is no engine or transmission in it.
  9. I've stood over the Arizona and watched the oil leak and rise to the surface. These days I usually find myself reminding people of Pearl harbor on December 7th. Frustrating to say the least....
  10. Last Halloween picture. It was from a distance and I zoomed in, so it's blurry. But you get the idea. ?
  11. More Halloween pics...?
  12. Halloween 2018: Been meaning to post these for a while. We took the Meadowbrook into town for tricking or treating. It was a perfect evening!
  13. Dec. 7th: 4am- Meadowbrook warming up for the drive to work. -2F. Two pumps full choke and she fired right up. Heater worked great even though some air gets in through the holes in the floor and through the old weather stripping.
  14. Great job!!
  15. October 30th Our Buick is a good car, but has zero class. Which one catches your eye first?
  16. October 30th Funny how my phone's awesome camera makes the paint on my car look really good when it's really not.
  17. October 30th Here we are warming up the Meadowbrook before our little driving lesson.
  18. October 30th: Gave my son a driving lesson again. Like I've said before, what better way to learn a clutch than with fluid Drive! I sat right next to him and did the accelerator and the brake. He took the emergency brake off, operated the clutch, put it into gear, and steered the car. What a great father-son moment!
  19. Unless you're dead set on having an original, just get an after-market one. the one on my 51 Dodge is for a late model Toyota pickup. Works just fine. Do a search, I know there's information on this forum about those.
  20. It's good to hear everyone's opinions. For me, I've had quite a number of bad points over the years on different cars. Even a few that were brand new and bad off the shelf. I've had my Pertronix kit (6V) in the Meadowbrook since May 2017 with no issues. Around 8K on the engine rebuild and kit.
  21. October 10: Drove into town for some dinner and to grab a few things at the market. Weather turned windy and cold. The heater did not fail us. Don't the other cars just look silly in the background?
  22. Sept. 30: Drove the Meadowbrook into town with the kids to pick up a few things at the market. My daughter took these photos. I averaged about 40 mph because of all the deer. Heater...on!
  23. Mine runs those very numbers and it was rebuilt 7K miles ago. Runs perfect. Don't sweat it!
  24. Keith, we have in-floor heat and love it. We keep the house at 75 degrees... no way I'm busting my butt making all this wood and then allow myself to freeze on top of that. Greg g, I'd be too embarrassed to show you my wood pile, I can't stack worth it damn!
  25. Sept. 26: Drove the Meadowbrook to work this morning. It was a chilly 45 degrees. The heater worked great! I didn't even need the fan to stay warm. What a beautiful fall day! A guy approached me when I was on lunch getting some food at a gas station and asked me about the car. He said his dad just bought a 1940 Dodge with suicide doors for $6,000.
