  1. I took my Fulton visor off of a p-15 and put it on mine. It did seem too low so I moved the mounting holes about one inch up and I like it much better.
  2. I am curious about the body style of the 53's I see on here. In high school I had a 53 Cambridge but it has different rear windows than what I see here. Mine had a small 1/4 window and a chrome divider strip separating the rear glass which rolled straight down into the 1/4 panel. Is this the difference between a club coupe and a two-door sedan? Or whats going on here?
  3. They may need that warning as they are looking for traffic coming down the wrong side of the road!
  4. Kinda looks like you're wantin' to fix sumpthin that ain't broke!
  5. You can send that little doll here anytime you want. And keep the weather.

  8. Great news, Brian. Now I know it ain't just me!
  9. I am almost certain that became a federal law many years ago. Turning back odometers and owning loose vin tags is federal. If you ever tried it on a 90's or later odometer, you will see a wick with blue ink on it that wipes the left 9 as it goes around.

Thats just plain awful. Sickening. I'm glad you weren't hurt physicaly. Mentally, thats a killer. I feel bad for you. Makes me wanna cry. It wouldn't be so bad if it were my car since its not all that nice anyway. But yours is a beauty. Ugh.
  11. Welcome, Martin. I have a very soft spot for 53's so I'm glad to see pictures of yours. It looks pretty good from here. I should look to see if I have any pics of my blue 53 Cambridge. I have been told I told I have a soft spot in my head also.

    ooops!

    Explanantion?
  13. How right you are, Dennis. I destroyed a lot of good old cars through stupidity. Yes, I too learned a lot about how to make things work, but at great expense. No one told me to stop, step back, and think about what I was doing. It's not likely I would have listened anyway, but I still hate to see kids make the same mistakes and destroy a piece of history.
  14. The eagle picture is pretty cool, but number 2 is great. Good to see Cooper again.
  15. Probably not, but then we all get to say "We told you so" when he gives up and dumps the whole thing.
  16. I suggest you get him to read this thread so he can see how many others are concerned that he does the right thing.
  17. Connect the black wire to the 6 volt power and ground the other wire.
  18. It's a shame how jealous I am of your ability to weld. Really nice work.
  19. Airtex E8011 6 Volt, you can wire either way Pos grnd or neg grnd.
  20. WOW !
  21. I've never seen one with a grease fitting, I wonder if thats only only on replacement joints?
  22. Greg, I never heard the word "stiction" before, but its perfect!
  23. That 56 made me talk to myself. What a beauty.
  24. I have to say yes, it will work.
  25. Some where I have stashed a fuel pump from a 218 that has an "L" shaped arm that rides on the side of the cam instead of the bottom. It is my understanding that all fuel pumps fit all engines. You may have to bend the lines on some to hook them up, but they will all pump.
