  5. Some one out there must know of a 377 CID combo engine found in a Dodge dump Truck or a Dodge Semi Tractor with 10 hole Budd Wheels, if so please call -515-276-7877 or email charlesj123@msn.com.
  6. If you found a 5 1/2" distributer and that was 2 long, pull the distributor and see if the oil pump is turning if it is, pull the oil pump and make sure the gear is pined to the shaft, this is seldom the problem but one thing to check. The gear will turn with the camshaft but the shaft may not be turning inside the gear.
  7. aaaroaddog here, aka Charlie Stephenson (Newbie) If that RED 4 ton is a hydraulic lifter 377, o ? and for sale, I would like to talk. 5152767877 Des Moines, IA. Washington State Zen Master, I really want to talk, about the dump truck, I assume it is road worthy and drivable. Been wanting a 377 51 to 53 for years. Not desperate - but very enthusiastic about owning just a complete engine with air cleaners, running or not crack block -head. It would look nice next to my 331 in it's own engine stand. Any one out there that has a 51 to 53 377 with hydraulic lifters please call me. Please me to correct myself, I do know how to spell ONE and I know that 33 & 34 Plymouths didn't have "number cars". Any B 4 Y, B 4 T, B 4 W, B4 V 377 cid engine. Not interested in a 413 cid. The New Picture is of just what I wanted, Need some sheet metal ??? The B 3 YA 5 speed double reduction differential arrived May 27, 2016.
  8. Anyone have a complete 1953 Dodge 2 to 4 ton 377 CID Truck engine Combo Molly Block 4 sale ? charlesj123@msn.com
  9. Full charge is 7.2 volts for a 6 volt battery. Was the battery dead ? if so, it maybe Sulfated. If it is it will need to be slowly run flat and recharging may recover it, if not check the starter motor commentator and brushes it they are corroded they will need to be cleaned. Check your ground between the engine and the battery post. Check the starter switch, inside where the contacts are, any fouling will need to be cleaned. Check the specific gravity of the electrolyte, should be around 1275. When you find it, it will be an easy fix. Keep on Trucking. Charlie
  10. Call Loren Arnold, He has a 2 to4 ton flat bed, runs drives pics look good. His number is 209-769-6711. charlesj123@msn.com Charlie

  13. If you suspect to much water flow through the 2 pass, go to your Big Box Lumber yard and get a PVC valve, insert it in the top hose and slow down (regulate) the water flow. Or just pinch off the top hose with Vice grips. The valve would be less trouble because you could paint it Black and levee it in place. Same idea as the T-star as a restrictor. Charlie
  14. Have you painted the 2 pass radiator with to much high gloss black paint ? The flow test with the radiator on a bench -- measure the amount of water that comes out and how long it takes. This would be a gravity test not water pump assisted. Don't expect 20 GPM but it may give you a gut instinct on the flow. I liked the 8 to 10 inch gush method, my gut tells me that is a good flow, unless it only takes .5 seconds for the radiator to gravity drain. Air will NOT release from a water stream flowing at more that 1500 feet per minute, this I taught. You could find a water pump repair shop that has a water flow meter and series the flow meter in your radiator hose circuit, I'm trying to buy a 5 GPM to 80 GPM flow meter to provide that service in Des Moines, IA. New ones are out of my price range. My "33" (while stored) was without the Flying Goddess radiator cap and a family of mice moved in and it won't flow water at all. So much you gota know----- ? I believe I wouldn't even consider selling the P15 lol. Hang in there you and all of us will get it fixed together. Charlie
