So what is the mc application you found that bolts upo?

I was looking at a E bay item last night, then switched over to the p15 site. Top of my screen is ads from competitors of same items I was looking at on E bay. What gives, who gave you guys permission to hijack my E bay searches and try and sell me crap I don't want?

How well do the Diplomat clips work on the trucks?

I thought I was pathetic having nothing to do or be anywhere and looking at d24 forum . But here someone else is posting. Kids grown, busy own life were retired didn't get invited anywhere so I drink coffee look at old cars on net try get motivated to work out in shop on the 47 sedan. Is it wrong to work on your cars on thanksgiving?

Man the styling engineers had " IT " going on back what a beautiful profile and wheel openings! I could look at cars from 30 40 50 60 all day long I get so tired of late model grocery getters with their 180 degree half round wheel openings. You cant tell one refrigerator white rental car from another not one body style will be collectable 50 yrs. from now

Regarding your numbers. I was going through the paper work that came with my d24 purchased two years ago and came across a spec sheet that the engine came from National engine rebuilders, don't recall state do remember these guys in the 80s. I got real excited thinking my engine might be a rebuilt but cant find a receipt or date this might have been done. The specific sequence num or serial num if you will on paperwork doesn't match any I have found on my block though.So a little let down but still hoping. The num on block does match title as does num although faint stamped in rear driver frame rail go figure.P.S did I mention this engine runs as new or low mileage still trying to find more clues to this car. It has led a very colorful past life and left a interesting history trail.

I have been getting ready to pull the trigger and upgrade the brakes on 47 d24. Have goggled, researched till blue in face. Cant find much in way of how to pictures or videos. So........ when I do perform it I think I will take lots of pics and video to document it .I am really shy around cameras and kind of private. But thought some body needs to step up to the plate! Of course I will have to find a young savvy person to show me how to upload or post to you tube, do fellow forum members think this is a wise decision?

Tired of fighting my old florescent fixtures, burning out humming slow start hard to find. Need all the help I can get to see!. Regarding nap time. I put fuel stabilizer in the d24 today, still trying to decide on what brand to use for the ethanol problem for the winter. Planning the big brake upgrade this winter so I don't think I have to worry much about driving it. Right now trying to up grade my shop lights. Any ideas on LED lights. (super expensive to purchase.) I need all the help I can get to see.

On a hot start, fuel related problem. I have new fuel pump, heat shields, fuel lines and tank. Thought I had all fuel delivery problems solved. Car was idling outside coffee shop quit would not restart. Let it cool off put 2 gal fresh fuel in ( thought fuel gauge was wrong} restarted. Put new electric fuel pump in no more problems. Also around this time I switched to a dry element air filter so I don't know for sure. Old mech. pump still on block, need to make block off plate. This car makes me so nervous when I drive it, its not funny.

Are pulling are legs? Or do you have two shops? I see a nice metal out building in background.

My 2 cents. I'm keeping 47 d24 as is for now but first time theres a fire, shorted wire , blown component etc. gutting it putting in amarican autowire 21 circuit hiway wireing kit. Have done this on 3 other cars safest upgrades next to brakes . Easy to do plenty of acc circuits for ad ons then when you upgrade to hot rod later power train you are all set. don't let the purist police scare you make it safe and or like you want it its your car! Go for what you want. You will be happy in long run

I went back and read this question again. In all honesty I don't think it is safe for you to be attempting your own clutch repair. just sayin.

I have experience with altering suspension geometry although on another brand. From your pictures you have moved the lower shock mount inboard closer to the pivot point of the lower a arm. This greatly affects the mechanical (leverage} advantage. Making it ride rougher. You need as much travel as possible with longer shock. I was going to go this route on my 47 d24 but now have rethink it.

How do I find the thread or contact Marty or Don on how they modified a eci master cyl for a 47 d24 Thanks

Now this guy has me wondering ! I have a indicate light above my speedo housing I thought it was a turn signal indicator ( not working ) or High beam ( not working) help. I don't have a owners manual for my 47 d24 so still trying to figure out all the bells and whistles , just got car out storage and started driving it. Is a reproduction owners manual available?
