  2. No gap and I didn't measure it. I bought the kit about 18 months ago at least.
  3. my scarebird kit fit my dodge coupe without a problem.
  4. Thanks for the tip. Sounds as if it will come in handy.
  5. over half of mine broke off when I removed the fenders. Drilled them out and chased the threads. getting ready to remount the fenders in a week or so. Need to find a way to do that without scratching the new paint with just me to do it.
  6. I've got a box full of the washers.
  7. That's what I based my purchase on Bob. I'll look and see if I can slip it in from under the car but the care would have to be on a lift or something. The first section from top to the bottom of the whole antenna is 23 inches + I can't get the top section to slide back down into the bottom section.
  8. Thanks Linus that's what I figured. The bottom end looks the same as the ones in the manual. I'll keep looking
  9. I believe I've finally found an original D-24 radio antenna. Problems: 1. Even though I've been soaking it for a week I can't get the two piece mast to collaspe or extend. 2. I see no way to get this antenna into the opening behind the driver's side kick panel. It's way too long. Do I have the wrong antenna? It looks just like the one in the brochure. From the bottom of the antenna to the top of the bottom mast section is about 24 inches.

That's the bad part of buying from Andy. He had a set $12 minimum for shipping and then it jumps to 10%. 20% for non lower 48 states. I just bought $800 worth of rubber parts for my coupe. I had to have them sent to my son as it would cost me $150 to ship 15 lbs of rubber to Alaska. Their quote on price and weight not mine.

Andy Bernbaum usually has much better prices than Ebay. I wouldn't be surprised if the ebay sellers are buying them from him and reselling them. http://www.oldmoparts.com/parts.aspx
  12. Link does not show correct parts. http://www.oldmoparts.com/parts-front-axle.aspx about a 1/3 of the way down
  13. Easy to make, easy to change back. lol
  14. I don't plan on putting them in my coupe really. Not many days uphere that we can roll the windows down at speed.
  15. Anyone know anything about these kits? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1947-Dodge-Custom-4-Door-Flat-Glass-Power-Window-Kit-machined-custom-one-touch-/162265555383?hash=item25c7c7e1b7:g:w80AAOSwcLxYGOU5&vxp=mtr
  16. I used an engine hoist to remove my 47 dodge 3 window coupe body.

  18. deleted. Misunderstood the question.
  19. I fully understand Paul. One of the reasons that I finished all my house projects that we could think of before I started on my 47. The wife has decided that when I finish mine I would need another project, so she bought herself a 55 Pontiac wagon. Work is never done.
  20. Paul what's up with progress? Don't tell me that life has gotten in the way of the car. Lol
  21. I wasn't happy with the way that the body turned out after the first polish so I redid it. Looks much better. 1st photo is of the right rear, trunk and fender. 2nd is right rear of the trunk.
  22. Tks will save me time as I'll just keep everything but the bare core.
  23. Thanks Linus. So you did not send in your spring and shims with your core?
  24. still 6 volt ones listed. http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-VOLT-POSITIVE-GROUND-Vintage-Style-1946-1947-1948-PLYMOUTH-LED-Tail-Lights-2-/152266521955?hash=item2373cabd63:g:ln4AAOSwYIhWl0or&vxp=mtr
