  4. He meant roller not ruler. I've used them for things other than the intended boat trailer as well.
  5. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=dodge+1947+brake+band+-truck%2C+-trucks%2C+-pickup&_sacat=6028&LH_TitleDesc=0&_sop=10&_osacat=6028&_odkw=dodge+1947+brake+-truck%2C+-trucks%2C+-pickup&LH_TitleDesc=0 I looked for awhile and got mine for $55 + shipping.
  6. I found mine on ebay.
  7. bought it off of ebay. From this guy. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3-4-Comm-Grade-Buna-N-Rubber-Sheet-12-x12-Black-70A-E-JAMES-4070-3-4A/273394512462?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
  8. I don't remember the first week in the hospital. 2nd week I remember vividly.
  9. no thanks. I've had 2nd and 3rd degree steam burns over 20% of my body. Been there done that. No more.
  10. except you have to be a double jointed contortionist with burn resistant skin able to work without seeing what you are doing to do that.
  11. Thanks.
  12. an answer on the HAMB gave me this. http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=508897 Looks like it works well. I'll ask my radiator guy if he can put a heater connection on the bottom of the tank. If so I'm going this way. I looked on ebay and found both 3 and 4 row radiators below $200 shipped. What is the difference between a 3 and 4 row radiator?
  13. When I go to my profile under content it's listed at the top on HAMB.
  14. Sorry I don't know. I've received 4 replies already on the Hamb. Nothing in the wtb section of FP.
  15. I've put it on the HAMB and on forever pontiac.
  16. I ask everywhere. You never know who can help you PA. All it takes is one person with the correct stuff or info.
  17. unfortunately no they will not fit. Pontiac as a whole were a different breed. I checked my interchange book. Nothing else but a 55 Pontiac with AC will work.
  18. Received bad news from the radiator shop. Mine is shot. Leaking everywhere. $670 to recore it. I've searched online but can't find any new Pontiac radiators older than 61. Anyone know where I can buy a new one or anyone have a good OEM one for sale?
  19. I was/am the same Doug. Better safe than sorry with something that cost as much as that. Taking things easy with it to begin with. Will take longer trips this summer.
  20. When I first ran my rebuilt 230 I was told that our engines normally ran around 20 to 25 lbs at idle. My problem was mine ran at zero at warm idle. Had to buy a new pressure relieve valve and then I had way too much. 70 at warm idle. Had to trim the spring a few times to get it to run at 40 warm idle and 60 at speed.
  21. More photos here. Inside is set up like a sedan delivery. Front buckets only. https://www.hotrod.com/articles/1951-studebaker-woodie-never-slow-down/
  22. Don't care for them either. I've always like this year Stud. Not really caring much for the "fastback" buy I love the wood.
  23. If they needed non reflective black paint they should have done that hood. lol
  24. I wonder why they painted the side window frames black. Strange, I'd think the green would have been better.
