  1. I have disassembled my rear springs for derust and paint. I managed to get one side of my spring covers off and can save them the other side was in bad shape before I removed them. I don't suppose anyone makes these anymore do they? For a 47 dodge.
  2. I agree with Don. But when I'm done with my car I'm positive someone will dislike something about it also. I really won't care. Have fun with it and do it your way.
  3. could be water coming in the windows and getting the whole interior damp. Mildew spread. Look at the rear carpet right in front of the seat. Looks a lot like mildew. Could be something else.

  11. I've found out that I'm missing two parts. Will get them somehow.
  12. that's what I was thinking. Nothing holding it in there. I'll cut up the backing plates and weld them into the adapter
  13. AAJ. fits well goes together easily. Just didn't like nothing holding in the bearing race. Looked at the backing plates. Might have to cut out the center as you suggested and weld them in to the AAJ brackets. They provided no means of keeping the bearing race in place or for the outer seal.
  14. rust is fast and vicious up here. I'll take it off where it needs to be removed before final put together.
  15. I have started to change my rear brakes over to disc. I have a question. What keeps the axle bearing race in place? There's a 3/8" gap between the spindle/hub and the race. Will the pressed fit into the axle housing keep it in?

  23. Some oil or lead is left. That's why 2 stroke engines keep on running. Oil in the gas. One use for lead is as a lubricant.
