  1. Lol, thread title is “been a different day” and you mentioned a mustang owner with “identity issues” nope, sounds about right ?
  2. This may or may not help http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/know/vin/model.htm I am gonna call it a column shift...... the bars on the floor look like hood supports.....
  3. Right on! Welcome I wouldn’t have guess it to be a 51...with the drivers door and the front top radiator cowl that screams 48-50 to me. have fun with it ?
  4. ATA boy Merle! I am always amazed how many reasons folks try to give, not to attend this event. ? nice try Keithb7, see you there....
  5. Can’t speak for the mid west shops but Bill, Less Schwab had flaps and tubes when I replaced my tires (2018). I did end up going with a 215/85/16 radials cause it makes me happy but, they had bias available.
  6. Hahaha, the image of you pushing those kids out of the way to get at the front just makes me happy! ? hooray for men in their 50’s
  7. I know, you probably know the left lug nuts and bud locks are probably left hand threaded. Just a reminder ? the last three trucks I’ve worked on recently, all have had a broken stud on the left side. Kinda make me think someone forgot at some point
  8. you should post a photo of the truck (cause it makes us happy?) in my opinion, SS are indeed special but, if you’re asking if the value Is higher and more desirable. probably not to many folks outside of this community. You could sit on it longer looking for the right buyer, If you were happy with what you thought it would go for, sell it and move on.
  9. Yeah, Sure do!!! Just called her, and thanked her ?
  10. 51deg In the area I was in yesterday, and it was the first day this year I saw an “ice cream truck” lol, it was a small Astro van, with a homemade looking sticker of a pop sickle on the side door, in a questionable neighborhood, playing “ice cream truck music” over a loud speaker...... Kinda made me cringe......
  11. I like it! ? Is that a 1.5ton? What is your goal for it. Restore, rebuild, remod or other?
  12. LOL, sounds like he is taking him off the trailer today.... shouldn’t be too much longer ?
  13. That is great, very happy for you! and I know that tired feeling as well from a 600mile tow. But always worth it. congrats!
  14. Negative. Can I use your employee discount?
  15. Lol, psst. Tod it a “teaser”...... he didn’t say what day the forecast is for, or even where. but, I’ll bet it will be close so ? can’t wait!
  16. Sure felt good to get to work on the truck this weekend. We had an ice event two weeks ago, took out the power for 12days. And between my job, helping neighbors and keeping things warm and dry at home, the truck got pushed aside (again) Still trying to get it movable for the BBQ in April but, the loss of 6days (two weekends) kinda feels like I may not make it, with only 10 days left to work on him. Still have to finish; swapping rear drums, master cylinder, booster, lines from “Buck” Then install new fuel pump, ignition switch and the old gas tank.... then test drive ? At times it seems overwhelming, but I remind myself..... it’s just a hobby ?
  17. On an unrelated topic (for educational purposes only ?) anyone know if the input shaft on a column shift FD is the same as a floor shift FD?
  18. The rub rails could be a clue, from the literature I’ve seen with factory flat bed/ stake beds, there is a “bend” on the lower part, around the outer wheel. That stands out to me. Both of mine are after market “DYI” beds I like your bed a lot
  19. Lol, you mean “hayseed Dixie”? ?
  20. Looks like a solid truck I agree with JB, I look for a free spinning motor, rusted thru door bottoms and floor boards..... I would imagine you’ll want to go through the brakes yourself Really doesn’t matter but, ever time I’ve seen the original “trumpet horn” replaced, the original engine has been swapped...... but, that is just my experience (I mention it as more of a bargain chip for you than a deal breaker ?) For giggles, look the vin up on the register https://www.t137.com/registry/help/decode.php oh, probably is but, make sure your trailer is long enough for a 126” wb
  21. I was just curious, if it were me i’d be proud of the 2-1/2 and change the tag back ? suppose it really doesn’t matter except when ordering or questions regarding suspension, brakes or engine Was the tank missing?
  22. I can just hear it, I’ll bet when you talk about your COE outside this forum, you tell people, “ yea, I’ve hauled a “CAT” on the back before” ? I am with Wallytoo, i’d Be surprised if it is 218 Dan, and from the photo i’d Guess 152” WB?
  23. Welcome Dan! I like it a lot. More photos when you get it home. What are the plans for it? From the part manual, I would guess the glass to be the same....you may have already seen http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/know/ph_parts/b_23.pdf but, like Merle said flat glass can be duplicated. Are you only running one rear wheel on both sides? safe travels, Brent
  24. Same except for the b4 series tank (mount and fuel pick up different) is your B3J really a 1-1/2ton? Funny timing you ask this, Someone removed the tank on my B3GA and put an auxiliary tank...... I was cleaning it out today and making some better straps for it
