  3. Try to find the thickest washer you can so when you torque it down it does not bend.

  8. I think you may be able to bring it to a welding shop and they can build up the metal then bring it to a machine shop and they can mill and drill it for you.
  9. Pull the trim and run a bead of sealant down the middle of the hood,reinstall the trim and your good to go.

  11. I ended up replacing my pump with a new one I found on ebay for $45. Make sure your leak is not coming from the oil pan gasket and running down the pump.I now have a slight leak on the pan gasket that is doing this.Once the weather warms up I am going to change the pan gasket again.

  16. When I installed my head bolts I think I put sealant on all of them just to be safe.
  17. My 50 Plymouth P-20 does the same.After the car is warmed up the moisture is burned off. I think it is from the hot exhaust hitting the cold exhaust pipe.
  18. I have a friend that was working on his car, I think he was taping up some wiring using electrical tape. He used a razor blade to cut the tape and put the blade on the fan shroud. He started up the car to make sure everything was good. While looking under the hood the razor vibrated off the shroud and into the fan then it shot up into his NECK!!! I forget how many stitches he had to get and now has a nice scar.The doctor said that the cut was just mm's away from his jugular vein. Doc also told him he was lucky to be alive (should be a scene in a horror film)

  23. Don't forget to re-torque your head bolts. I would re-torque them during 2 or three more runs when hot.
