I used one of the fasteners that is used to hold the kick panels up for the access cover. Works great, I had to bend the fastener a little for a tighter fit.

Thanks thrashingcows, If anyone installs this panel install the throttle linkage "L" bracket(seen in second picture of post #20)on the panel then install the panel if room allows. I put it on after and it was a pain to get it into place.

The holes in the pan were small enough so I did not have to modify the draft seals . Here are some pics

If you attach a slide hammer to the tube it should work its way out. Put a hook on the end of the hammer and hook it to the front of the tube and go at it. -

My Negative post of the battery goes to the alternator (P O installed a 6Volt alt) I do not Have a ground strap to the frame. Is this only needed with a generator?

My 50 Plymouth does not have a ground strap. Will I notice any difference in cranking if one is installed?

Here it is all painted up and with the gas pedal installed (Thanks again Ed). I used 1 and a 1/4 inch weather striping on the backside. I just have to wait for my pedal draft seals and modify them to fit the new round holes then I will be good to go .
