  1. I have 700X15 Radials on my 50 Plymouth
  2. They do sell radials that look like the original bias ply. They are expensive but if you are lucky you can find a set on ebay for a good price. I was able to buy mine for around $650. I got lucky and they were new! Mine are white walls but they also have all black.
  3. Im not sure which you should use but you can try out both and see what one gives you the correct pressure.
  4. Can you make your own by grinding the head of a bolt with the correct thread?
  5. Are you sure there is a plunger in there? Could the hole you see be the back of the block?
  6. once you get it out clean it up with some scotch brite and try and get in the hole also.
  7. You should be able to get a magnet and it should slide right out.I think when I removed mine to inspect it was stuck to the spring and it slid right out. I have also heard of people cranking the engine quick and it will pop out. Put a rag over it so it will not shoot out and bounce around the garage. Make sure it was and is installed the correct way.
  8. In my manual it says if you have low oil pressure check these things: External leaks - Inspect for possible leakage.Wipe the oil lines and fittings clean, run the engine at fast idle and look for traces of oil at the points cleaned. Oil pressure relief valve - Inspect for a broken spring or distorted oil pressure relief valve spring. Check plunger for dirt, nicks or burrs. Oil pressure gauge - Inspect the oil pressure gauge for accuracy,by connecting an accurate gauge in line with a "T" fitting. Oil - Make certain that oil of the recommended weight is used in the crankcase. Excessive bearing clearance- Check the flow of oil at the bearings by using a bearing leak detector. Oil pump - Inspect the oil pump parts for excessive clearance.
  9. Yes,but they may need to be tighter. Run the engine and you will see when warm they will tighten more. You can also cut a notch in a old socket to fit over the thumb screw and use it to snug it down.
  10. The valve can be stuck in the open position not allowing the engine to build up pressure. What does the gauge read in the car when running?
  11. Also check your pressure valve spring it might be weak and needs to be replaced. The valve may be stuck also not allowing it to adjust oil pressure properly.
  12. It won't spike it, should go up to around 40 when you rev. It sounds like your gauge might not go past 20 for some reason. Maybe you can take it apart, clean and lube it. In my manual it says anything above 0 at idle is is good. Did you ever get around to installing the pressure gauge on the engine that Don suggested? What is the pressure when you first start it? That is when the pressure will be the highest because the oil is still thick.
  13. I think they are called suicide doors because if you tried to get out with the car moving you were probably going to die
  14. We knew you would get it Another old mopar is alive!
  15. He fixed it
  16. I think you have to re-post the link
  17. That looks like it will work great, good thinking !
  18. you can use the internal bypass gasket on the external bypass heads but you cant use the external bypass gasket on the internal bypass heads .
  19. I have a exhaust manifold with a working heat riser and am thinking about installing it. I am afraid that I am going to snap the bolts that hold the intake/exhaust manifolds together. Does anyone have a good intake manifold they would like to get rid of with no broken bolts in it? This is for a 218.
  20. You learn something new every day . Do you have any pics?
  21. What are the two protruding half round things on the back half of the intake manifold. I have also seen intake manifolds with them drilled and tapped on the front side of them. Here is a pic of my intake manifold.
  22. Canada wins, GREAT GAME !!!
  23. Joe,look how long it took DutchEdwin to get oil pressure. http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=20346
  24. USA tied it with 24.4 seconds left !!! OVERTIME
  25. Do you have the ignition on?
