  1. Fred, I thought your paint looked great. Get a nice polishing machine after you get the runs out and it will look even better.
  2. Nice work!
  3. Went for a drive with Zoe today, she loves to ride in the Plymouth. She is looking out at Lake Ronkonkoma in the pic. It is about 40 deg. here today and should be sunny and 44 deg. for the car show tomorrow .
  4. I guess mine is set up this way because the previous owner installed a 6 volt alternator?
  5. Thanks guys, Fred my NEG goes to the block and the POS goes to the starter?
  6. I started the car for the first time with the new ground strap I made and with the battery cable grounded to the block. First video is how it was set up second video is the new set up. You can hear the difference .
  7. I like it Can you post the add? Does it have more pics?
  8. What a creation!!! Please post a video when you get it running.
  9. That's funny, I looked at the globe before and didn't see the eagle
  10. I used the star washer in between the bottom of the small bolt and top of the ground cable. Not between the top of the head bolt and bottom of the ground cable. Lets try and see how we can make this simple thing become rocket science
  11. Happy 2000th post to me Sorry had to do it...
  12. My original fuel pump (think it was original) was leaking oil from the vent hole. It still worked normal but the leak was driving me crazy. I now keep it in the trunk as a spare. Vent hole on new pump
  13. I would say maybe around 250 - 300 miles
  14. We had some snow this morning but mostly rain all day.
  15. Fred, that's the pump I have installed.
  16. Isn't this forum GREAT !!!
  17. It's always good to have a plan I plan on going to the first car Show in my area this weekend (Sunday). I will make sure I get some good pics.
  18. Yes, I did use a star washer.
  19. Thanks for the info randroid, I have it installed now
  20. I got the threaded head stud installed. I had to use the forward bolt hole because my cable wasn't long enough. I think I like it better in this spot instead of the second bolt, its a more direct fit. I ended up draining the radiator and some of the block so I can dry out the threads with alcohol and use sealant on the threads. Thanks again hkestes41!!!
  21. Just wanted to make sure because it looks like there is less metal holding the head of the bolt on.
  22. Does anyone know if this bolt gets the same 65-70 foot lb torque as the others?
  23. Yes, it was for the AirPower Museum, the video is in my hangar across from the museum. The 56th Fighter Group Restaurant is still around (not sure how good it is).
  24. I think you have some work to do
  25. Here is a nice video of an original 1948 Chrysler.
