  2. That's great Joe! The noise you had from the valves, did it go away once you adjusted the two?
  3. I copied the gasket that I made with gasket material and posted it on this thread,it will print to the correct size. http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=26090&highlight=Transmission+gasket

  5. This is how I knew it was time ! I would adjust everything to specs and see how it functions, if it's still slipping remove and inspect. Hopefully you will not find what I did. New Parts
  6. Any suggestions?
  7. Not sure what I am doing wrong but I have tried every combination with the wiring and hooking it up. I had the red and white hooked up to ground and the black to power, the red and white to power and the black to ground. The green wire is going to the NEG terminal on the coil and I have also tried the POS side with no luck. The single white wire is is for the light, does that need to be hooked up for the gauge work? I don't think so? Any ideas? Any way to test the gauge?
  8. If you did remove the rivets you would have to install studs in the hub so you can mount the drum/wheel.
  9. Your coupe looks GREAT, lots of pics when she gets home please
  10. Hey watch what you say! This was given to me by Rockwood when I met him in Winnipeg.
  11. I found some braided stock today at work and made my own The stud I was gonna connect to on the block wants to turn out with the nut. I don't want to lose my antifreeze so I will have to find another spot on the block. If this one is too short I will just make another.
  12. Good luck finding one on Long Island.
  13. I repainted the tach that I got from Powerhouse today and also Installed it, I still have to hook up the wiring but I think it makes a nice addition and will help with tuning and monitoring the engine.
  14. I'm gonna see if I can find a ground strap tomorrow and will also move the NEG cable and see what happens.
  15. Thanks, let me know when you get a chance.
  16. Another great video!, one thing I did notice is the front u-bolts for the front motor mount. I am not sure which way is "factory" correct but I think they are installed from the bottom up with the nuts and washers on top.
  17. I would like to go to the genny bracket but the cable is not long enough, hopefully it will reach the motor mount.
  18. Alshere, I was lucky and have no valve noise. When my machinist adjusted them cold he kept the hot adjustment in mind, he adjusted them a little off to compensate, for some reason I remember him saying 12? I could be making that number up.
  19. Alright Joe !!!
  20. Ed, when I first bought my Plymouth it had that head bolt with the bolt in it. When I took the head off to paint it a couple of years ago I replaced all of the head bolts with new and sold the old ones on ebay. It wasn't in use and didn't think I needed it (wish I kept it now). The bolts I replaced them with were head bolts for our flatheads, not just grade 8 bolts.
  21. Don, I just put a longer bolt in my firewall and I will attach the opposite end of the ground strap to the same spot on the block that you have yours. If my NEG cable will reach would the front engine mount be a good spot to connect it to? Also will any good local hardware store have the ground straps?
  22. I am pretty sure my slow cranking is because of my ground. This is how my battery is hooked up: NEG terminal to the case of the alt, the POS terminal goes to the solenoid to then to the starter, there is also a wire that goes from the POS terminal to a terminal on the alt. This is how it was since I bought the car. Should I have the NEG wire go directly to the block? Or get a ground strap and install it somewhere?
  23. Here is a pic of mine with the button on top,it has a screw on cover with the button under it.
  24. Great Video, look forward to seeing more!
  25. Joe, once you get it running and up to operating temp remember to re-torque your head bolts. I have done mine twice so far and was supprised how much more I could turn some of the bolts.
