  1. Anything more will cause problems also.
  2. Steele rubber, Bernbaums, or Roberts motor parts off the top of my head.
  3. I drive my 52 Coronet as a daily driver most of the year. It’s completely stock except for an aluminum radiator. You’ll have no problems with the 6. Remember your car was someone’s daily driver once.
  4. I found some at an old dealership that still has old parts. The shank is .010 larger so I may have to ream the holes but I’ll make it work.
  5. I’m keeping it stock. It’s easier for me.
  6. Replaced the shocks with the 5752’s. Big improvement. Thanks everyone.
  7. Thanks, I’ll check Dormans. Everything I’ve seen online is serrated and mine aren’t. I wasn’t sure if that mattered. Just wondering what anyone else used. Only Dodge used studs and nuts for some reason.
  8. I need left hand studs for my Coronet. Any ideas for a source?
  9. Okay, thanks.
  10. Does this shock require modification to the suspension to fit?
  11. Thanks everyone.
  12. Thanks
  13. It increases with the clutch disengaged. Idle speed is 475. No noises at all. The engine runs strong and smooth. I’m probably overthinking this. It’s normal for me.
  14. I’ve put about 500 miles on with no problem. Just concerned. This rebuild was a nightmare for me and the rebuilders due to bad work done by a previous owner.
  15. Okay, it seems normal but this is the first rebuilt engine I’ve ever had so I’m probably over cautious. Thanks.
  16. Is it normal for the oil pressure to drop to 20 on a freshly rebuilt engine when i come to a stop. It goes back to 50 or so as soon as I accelerate. The car is a 52 Coronet with gyromatic.
  17. Any pre-war car is worth saving. Just don’t get to involved financially, it’s probably not that rare. Nice looking car though.
  18. I bought mine from Kanter. No problem.
  19. Thanks.
  20. Any idea where to find front shocks for my 52 Coronet? Many places offer rears but no fronts.
  21. In PA they use the serial number stamped on the door pillar plate for registration.
  22. If you google it you’ll be surprised what may turn up. Try Ed Speigel in Murrysville PA. 412 559 6880 or 724 733 1818. There are other sources for NOS parts that I unfortunately can’t remember off the top of my head.
  23. The trans should up shift without any electronics hooked up. Downshifting won’t happen. I’m not sure from the picture what’s missing. Carb should be stromberg bxves. Try starting off in high gear and let off gas to see if it upshifts. If so you should be okay driving it, you’ll just need to push the clutch in when you stop.
  24. If you have the gyromatic trans I wouldn’t recommend Pertronix. The distributor is momentarily grounded to allow the upshift. This will burn up the module prematurely. I tried this on my 52 Coronet and it worked for about 5 minutes and died. I’ll stick with points. There is a way to make it work with a resistor but you’ll need to search this forum. Good luck.
  25. Not sure but let us know if you find anything. My hood needs a prop.
