  1. "I could care less" always bothers me when they should have said "I could not care less". Not that anyone cares........
  2. That is a cool engine. But that transmission looks like a high maintenance item.................
  3. I can't commit to anything because August is our outage month at the power plant where I work. However, should the timing work out I may be able to slip away for a day or two. I will keep an eye on this topic and we will see what happens. We have been driving farther and farther each summer as time, finances and reliability of the car allows. An over-nighter is probably about due.
  4. Very nice. i love the do-it-yourself jobs.
  5. 41 Dodge D-19
  6. I bought a cat aluminum grille for my '41 Dodge. I ran it until I found the one I have now and then sold it to a guy building a street rod '41.
  7. Merry Christmas
  8. Merry Christmas everyone!

  12. I like it! There, I said it, and I don't care how weird that seems to anyone!
  13. Bob, you truly are a blessed man.
  14. Congratulations!
  15. Thanks for the ride.
  16. I believe the answer to each and evry question is ............................Alcohol!
  17. Very nice, congratulations, a family heirloom has been created. That picture with you, the car and your grandson is priceless. Matters not how the car performs, but I suspect anyone who can make that can also make it F_A_S_T !!!!
  18. I used http://hagensautoparts.com/to buy sleeved wheel cylinders. Good service.
  19. Being that I am always doing stuff by myself, I think that would come in handy at times. Never seen one in person so I am not sure how heavy duty it actually is, but I like the concept.
  20. Happy Thanksgiving. We got about 3 -4 inches here in the center of Pennsylvania.
  21. Thanks Don that is great!
  22. I do run an 8 volt system on my '41.
  23. The color is all but gone here now. Here are a couple pictures from today's ride in the '41 Dodge.
  24. Whether or not the new switch is acceptable depends on the current (amp) rating of the switch. If it is rated equal to, or higher than the original, it would be fine. As for 12V versus 6V it is really a matter of personal choice. I rewired my 1941 Dodge a couple of years ago for 6V but I made provisions to go 12V if I decide to. Advantage to 6V is originality but price and availability of parts are benefits of 12V in my opinion. Both work fine.
