  1. I know he's a stand up guy. I know that by talking to him. He reminds me of the guys I used to play poker and bocce ball with. (They've all gone to the big poker game in the sky.) I ordered OD parts, OD Cable, 12V Relay, Wiring Harness. He mentioned that one of the parts he thought he had but didn't. So maybe the delay. I'm glad that you guys think he's a good guy that stands by his word. My wife and I, frankly were worried. Thanks guys. You're the best. FG.
  2. Folks, I wanted to get some advice from you folks. I talked with George Asche on Jan 6th and ordered some parts from him. I sent him a check and a letter of everything I needed. On the 10th of January, the check was cashed. I called him last week to let him know that the check had cashed and to ask if my parts were on the way. He said he had some delay but would send out the parts when he could. It is the 24th now, no parts...and I don't want to call him and bug him. Has anyone ever had a similar issue ordering and receiving parts from George? I just don't know what to do. I was always cordial, and we've always had good conversations. I need advice guys. FG.
  3. I am soooo going to call this guy for stuff I might need.

    Rain

So true tim, I like the slow soaker. In LA rain is needed desperately, and not for what you would think. It is normally for cleaning the air of the smog. This place is lovely when the air is actually clean. FG.
  5. He works out of his home and out of a shop over by Highland. PM me and I can give you his information. FG.
  6. Added myself. Didn't know there were so many people in SoCal. FG.
  7. Does anyone know where one can get the Bosch style relay? Thanks, Jon
  8. Cool. BTW boys, the silicone worked fine. Jon
  9. I can take a picture of the wheel that has that example if you'd like. Jon
  10. Actually, he's a friend of mine. And a real great one too.
  11. The Best Gasket rope.
  12. Throughout 2011, I was very good and saved some clams for January. Jon
  13. I had to share folks...as I'm excited. My P15 has gone to the shop for a new front seat, Overdrive, Motor Mounts, Rear Main Seal, Tightening the steering, Oil Change and new belt. I am terribly excited!
  14. Niel, One more thing. Try something I didn't. Powder coat or paint the wheel, then see if you could have someone perfectly paint to circles in the middle between the hubcap and the Lyon whitewall. I wanted that, but never did it. Happily mine looks fine without it. Now I just need to figure out the exterior and interior color of the car to paint. Jon
  15. Niel, Thanks! The wheels were powder coated an Oxblood color because I'm fond of that color. The Lyon whitewalls are over them. The dogdish are of course on top of the clips. If you would like to see a picture of them without the rings and dogdish, let me know. Jon
  16. Gents, I have a 47 P15, and I need to get the Rear Main Seal. I know that I want to get a Best Gasket, but the rope seems like it would be a bit ineffective. I think that my car takes the rope kind: http://bestgasket.com/pop_up_picture...artNumber=4162 But, I was thinking of using the Neoprene/Rubber instead. Does that sound like a good idea? http://bestgasket.com/pop_up_picture...artNumber=4164 Your thoughts would be great. I asked a few folks and no one seems to know. Jon
  17. My hometown, you're making me misty. Jon
  18. You've given me the idea that I should shoot something like that someday. But for me, I want it to be my first time over the Golden Gate Bridge into my hometown with my Plym. Jon
  19. Thank you very very much. Jon
  20. Looks good sir! Jon
  21. Gents, Thanks for the help again. BTW, silicone acquired. Thin bead will be applied tomorrow. Thanks, Jon
  22. I also have the PDF...PM me Mike... FG.
  23. I would like to know as well. I know I have a 218 and not a 230, so I figure it would be something like this. What do you gents think: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dodge-Plymouth-201-218-230-Rear-Main-Seal-BOLT-34-59-/170625128103?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item27ba0cd6a7#ht_500wt_1066 OR http://napaonline.com/Catalog/CatalogItemDetail.aspx?A=FPGBS3141_0147568091&An=599001+101947+50056+2056061 Personally, I figure not to use the rope one... Jon
  24. Bought them. Thanks gents! Jon
