  1. Well, I got these parts installed for my fresh air heating system but still need an AIR knob and cable. Dodgeb4ya Bob, did ya find any spares? Anybody else ?
  2. Speaking of new tools over the weekend. I stopped off at a barn sale on the way home from the Pilot House BBQ and bought this hot water pressure washer. A heavy little sucker at 255 lbs. According to NAPA on line they sell new for $2250. It's a couple of years old but I got it for $180. The sellers wife said it works great but I haven't tried it yet because they lost the operators manual and he wasn't there to give me a demo. Can an operators manual be purchased somewhere? I'd hate to break it by doing something wrong.
  3. Speaking of hub caps. Someone had 3 for sale at the BBQ and I forgot to ask who was selling and how much. Anybody know who ?
  4. Don, The food was great! Bob Koch was the chef. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, two fruit salads, brownies and more. Tim was there of course but he was all over the place and I guess didn't hold still long enough to be in a photo. The muddy cuties were Tim's daughter and her friend. Here's photographic proof that Tim really was there. That's his arm on the left margin of this photo.
  5. I know Jim.....I was just funnin with ya one more time. I'm done now.
  6. Lots of fun ! Thanks everyone. Here are a few more shots. This first shot is proof of what is apparently the most popular dodge truck color ever. Jim Shepherd calls it Butt Ugly Yellow At the far end of the lineup you'll notice the soon to be " WORLDS FASTEST PILOTHOUSE" being built by and soon to be driven by Tim Monroe Estrada this coming September. Here's a birds eye view of some of the trucks lined up late in the day. Thanks for holding the ladder Jim. And lastly a shot of some of the wives that allow us silly old men this hobby. L to R are Charlie's wife with the red and white hemi powered truck Marcia sp?, My wife Lisa, and The wife of the Panel truck owner. Sorry....didn't get her name.
  7. My 42 Dodge coupe also has the stomp start.
  8. Hey, did factory stake sides have long running boards and rear fenders? I don't think so. Neat truck though.
  9. There is a little difference between a 48 and a 50 Plym engine. The 48 had a cr of 6.6 and was rated at 95 hp. The 50 engine had a cr of 7.0 which added a whopping 97 hp !!!!!!
  10. It looks about like the Plymouth in Tulsa that was entombed for 50 years. Maybe the guys that are derusting that one can help;) Hey Paul, I found the other half of that radio I sent you. I'm bringing it to the BBQ.
  11. Paul, Here's how the truck looked a few years back when I was using it daily in my construction bidness. I think I got a little carried away with those red sideboards. Now,I should probably go ahead and get clearance for the thin red line on the sideboards from The Don first before I try your suggestion.
  12. Mr. C, You know I was gettin ready to take you up on your generous offer and ship the truck to you until I rememberd something you stated a few days ago about where your heart really lies. Something about a Bee, or a Wasp, or a Hornet er something. I wouldn't see my truck for at least 10 years cause it would take a back burner to one of these puppies.
  13. At least this one looks better than this one's drooping rear fenders. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___PLYMOUTH-WOODIE-WAGON-NOT-FORD-WOODY-ALL-NEW-WOOD_W0QQitemZ320335989308QQddnZCarsQ20Q26Q20TrucksQQddiZ2282QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item320335989308&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A-1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
  14. OK thanks. So far that's two yes votes. Next improvement........I'm going to replace that phony chrome fender welt with some black fender welt.
  15. OK....I took Paul Flamings suggestion and painter the yellow rims red with some one shot. I only painted the part that shows beyond the wheel cover. Scroll to the top of this thread to see the before and after. If it grows on me I'll sandblast all of them and repaint them red .....including the black powder coated spare.
  16. OK Dale, Here they are. I'll show 1 and post a link to the rest. Your "A FARGO" looks great ! Nice work and look. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v154/olddodges1/Dales%20Fargo/
  17. Dale. email them to me at regoevans@sbcglobal.net
  18. Here's the photo of my 50 B1B
  19. Yeah, it would be best to find a nors one with a fresh diaphragm. Let me know what you find out cause I think my dual point one is the same as yours.
  20. Don, I have two nos Autolites that someone has marked as fitting 41-42 & 46-48 DeSoto but the arm that pulls on the point plate is curved. Yours appears to be straight. One box is marked 6-32 (VC-2082R) and then hand written is A1315. Then there is a third Autolite marked (VC-1039-A)...hand written VC102 and 6-21 but it's arm is curved too. EDIT.....hang on, I found this one with dual points that looks the same and holds a vacuum with my tongue. Pooee....that tasted bad.
  21. They are worth two somethings.......(2) 48-50 Dodge truck door handles with eschuceons. Usually , I've noticed, the cab lights total 5 with 3 grouped in the center and then the outside ones farther away. I have 2 green ones that might look cool with the orange ones. Cool around the holidays anyway.
  22. Wanna sell them or trade for the handles ? I like them if they are the old chromed metal ones. Maybe not on a 1/2 ton but on 1 tons and larger. Oh God....it's a Ford
  23. Cool !.........I'll keep my camera ready in case I spot it on it's way to you. Enjoy ! Looks like a good one.
  24. Can you post a photo of them?
  25. Yes, the panel lights are the instrument lights. Your roof lights might be hooked up to the same switch.
