i know that there is already probably a thread like this somewhere, but i have a specific question. what size radial tire do most people put on these days? i think i was 215-80-16 or something like that. i have 6.50-16 right now. the other thing, what do you do for the whole tube/tubeless thing with these newer tires? can our rims be made tubeless? or do we need tubes for these newer tires, too?

whats worse? a cracked disk or a flaming van?

its a glass bottle with a metal cap and whitish plastic seal. the other thing, does anybody have experience with acetone magnetizing things?

ok, i have not tried this mix yet, im still trying to figure what to put it in that it wont eat. i tried a glass snapple bottle, i was testing the seal in the cap because that is some kind of rubber, so i was poking at it with a steel pick, and when i went to pull it back, and the cap came with! i tried it a few more times with different things, and it definately was magnetizing the things dipped in it! anybody else try this mix or get these type of results with the acetone?

im pretty sure the gearbox would be expensive to have made, so does anybody have experience with changing out the gears and what fits in to make it right?

i used a 66' mustang radiator for my pilothouse. needed some brackets, adapters, and it was a little shorter and narrower.

i think i probably got you beat.

for charging, i just used a modern alternator instead of the generator. one creative thing i saw once, somebody took a piece of pipe and mocked it up to look like the generator and stuffed the alternator inside.

ive been learning how to be about as useful as a talking doorstop in school for the last 11 years, and when something comes, i fix small engines and do yardwork.

the ones i got from bernbaum seemed to have new linings on them, they werent asbestos or organic, something newer. very nice.
