  1. if you find the size, i think ace hardware sells the balls for ball bearings. those could work.
  2. if the engine is quite as fickle as my 218, it floods REALLY easily, so im debating if you put too much fuel down the throat. do you have the plug wires on correctly?
  3. well, my truck is running 12V, and i just happen to have what is called a "diddle" pump, just an electric motor with a diaphragm and a built-in regulator, so i want to fix the fuel pump before it breaks on me.
  4. my truck is running the stock 218, with the original mechanical fuel pump. i know it will eventually die, its not supposed to take our modern fuels with ethanol and all that crap in it, so i was thinking of fixing the problem before it starts, i was debating an electric pump. any suggestions?

  6. i just thought- they quench tools in oil because it doesnt boil off like water, so maybe oil would work even better for the gas wrench method...

  17. if these are the same as 10" pilothouse drums, you could use the northern tool drums. i placed a thread about it in the tech archives.
  18. thats a little out of subject, we are talking about lubricants, like what could be used to free an engine, but that is still an interesting solution.
  19. does acetone hurt any metals? in theory, wouldnt you want the thinnest oil you could buy? or is there something special about ATF?
  20. i used jeep CJ-3 shackles, they are about 1" shorter, but they still work correctly. that, and they're about 1/2 the price.

  22. anybody actually try the ATF-acetone? i hear alot of chatter on the internet about it, but nobody ever tried it.
