  1. what are those marks on the face of the pulley?
  2. im working on a 41' dodge WF-32, 1.5T flatbed. its still in the woods, and i was walking by the other day and thought: im pretty sure both wheels shoud be pointing the same way, not one straight and the other all the way to the right. i looked, and the tie rod has about a 90 degree angle in it. anybody have measurements and pics of what it should look like so i can have it redone? thanks, josh
  3. well, i have a whole set of bigguns, but none fit due to the nubs i was speaking of. it does have the cranks start, but the shallow sockets are recessed enough to fit.
  4. somebody must have swapped the motor sometime in the past, then. if i remember, there are nubs just protruding from the back of the pulley just enough so it didnt fit. anybody have pics?
  5. anybody know what size hex is on the end of the shaft of a 230 out of a 1941 dodge WF-32 1.5T truck? the engine is stuck, and i wanted to try rocking it, bu i could not find a fitting size in my arsenal. i would just measure it, but i cannot get to it to see it, just feel it. i dont want to go under the truck, it is sitting right over a nice mound of rabbit sh!t, and it does not roll, so thats not happening. could somebody find a pic of their hex on the front for me? i think the engine is a p-18, but not sure. thanks in advance!
  6. thanks for the advice and your concern. yes, that is the picture of it.
  7. problem with that is that the brakes happen to be stuck to the drums, making them impossible to get the drums off without breaking it loose first.
  8. hi everybody. i am working on a 1941 dodge 1.5t flatbed. it is still in the woods, due to come out this summer. i need to find a good way to unlock the brakes so that it can be pulled out to the field. it will be dragged down the road a little ways. so i also need to know how to get the park brake handle moving again. bad experience the last time without brakes. any ideas? i want to try to save any useable brake parts, so no oil. thanks in advance. BTW- there is a decent amount of terrain it this area, so i cannot do what i did last time and use an ATV to jerk them free.
  9. i have been asked for pics regarding replacement of a stock 1/2 ton rear end with a 96' jeep cherokee rear. they needed old mounts chopped off and new ones welded on in place. they were replaced with trailer saddles from northern tool for the leaf springs, so they original shock brackets and u-bolts still fit.
  10. I figured with the price of pilothouse front drums, i should share this info. the 10" trailer brake drums from northern tool are a bolt-up switch with some adapter sleeves and special washers. if anybody needs specs for the sleeves, leave a message here and i will post it.
  11. i think it is a spicer. i will add pics later.
  12. currently just trying to find sources for just about everything, it is still sitting in the woods.
  13. does anybody know where to get parts for something this large?
  14. did you need a different MC or any other hardware?
  15. i used one out of a 1996 jeep cherokee. same u-joints, bolt pattern, just replace the perches with the 3" trailer perches from northern tool.
  16. so it is essentially like front drums except for the axle? where are these pages from anyways?
  17. model 62 or 504 http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/know/ph_parts/b_1.pdf p.5 & 6
  18. anybody know where to find something with pictures that i could see? otherwise i am lost here.
  19. i know the mechanics of it all, i just wondered if anybody had any numbers as far as improvements on a dyno or something.
  20. just exactly how much does a duel carb setup improve performance anyways?
  21. i dont think removing the axle for the rears is correct, i have seen pics, and they still have the axle in and it appears it has a taper. i also need to know about the fronts. does anybody know just how large these drums actually are?
  22. in my 15 year life, i am just getting into this.
  23. how exactly do you lock the doors?
  24. i know this is out of subject for this part of the forum, but it seems more truck guys are over here. anybody know how to get the brake drums off a 1941 dodge 1.5T WF-32 flatbed?
  25. okay, now does anybody know how to get the brake drums off? and are the driver side lugs on these big trucks right-handed or left-handed threads?
