  1. not much for newer motors, but that looks nice! what is that, a vortec?
  2. the engine drives everything individually, right off the output shaft
  3. whats it called where youre at?
  4. i would get some photos, but it was raining the better part of the week. i will work on getting some in a few weeks if the guy doesnt haul it off for scrap. then again, he never gets rid of anything, so i think its safe. the machine is kinda in a crappy place, so its a little hard to work on. (cow pasture). not sure how the motor follows the radiator, the radiator is mounted up on the side of the machine and belt driven off the engine to the fan.
  5. tried it once, didnt do crap. probably didnt do it right.
  6. need an engine of some sort for the 41', can be 25" or 23", either works. needs to be decent or rebuildable. will pay around $100. please call 262-496-8104. probably have to leave a message, AT&T sucks.
  7. ok, i finally got the 41' dug out of the woods last monday, so now its time to think about an engine. the old one is a P-18 motor, its supposed to have a 25" block. that engine is fried as far as im concerned, it sat full of water the last 40+ years and when i pulled the oil drain i got water. its a mess. later, i found a massey harris super 26 combine at the neighbor's farm and earned that by fixing a few tractors for him. the question is, how the h*ll do i get the stupid thing out of the combine without cutting it all apart? its the old type where its at the bottom behind the wheel, and theres no room to work under there. ALSO: does anybody have a decent or rebuildable engine to part with for at most around $100 either?
  8. my question is is it worth taking out and cleaning?
  9. i dunno, in have re-lubed everything on my truck except the steering box, and am thinking of just pulling it and goin through it and giving it a thorough cleaning. what do you guys think i should do? im not pulling the cab or anything, and i have a column shift, what kinda work am i looking at here and is it worth it?
  10. so thats why my brother moved there...
  11. jeans and a tee shirt work for me.

  16. love it! complements the black rims well.
  17. i myself am partial to the old *ss-shaped pan seats
  18. indeed he did! $180 later... he wanted a new tractor, so he opened the box and said "where's the rest?"
  19. grab it! love the craggars.
  20. try putting a tiki torch near it or something like that with fire
  21. can you get a picture? sounds like something snapped off, do you know about where it fell from?
  22. if you pay for shipping and dont mind that its cracked, you can have it! this is the old one off my grandfather's tractor, we bought him a new one for father's day.
  23. better idea, find an experienced MIG welder and have him weld the split ring all the way around. if you have a good guy, he can make it not leak. i dont know if the split ring is taller than a normal bead, so that may need some looking into.
  24. well, i will say, it looks a lot more rugged in real life, the pics do no justice. BTW-i still have the running boards, they just are beyond repair. the brown dog is lacy, the retreiver is jake.
