  1. now, where do i get one of those for next year?
  2. wow, no way i have that kinda patience and/or talent, i just returned to pick n pull and got the one i found earlier. any good way to patch small holes in vinyl?
  3. holey shneikies! i could bend mine with a chunk o' dirt
  4. the pressure pretty much flies up to about 40-60 if i goose it, and thats at about 1600-2250 RPM
  5. http://www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors/000/4/8/488-minneapolis-moline-udlx.html
  6. that, or there is also tank sealing solution that you could dump into the empty tank. i have never used it, but have heard of it.
  7. only issue is i only get about 5-10 minutes of driving at a time, only going about 25 tops. im not quite legal yet, so i dont stay out for long or go on main roads
  8. if you guys want an IHC stake truck, there is one near here for sale on the interstate for $500 if i remember right.
  9. well, i am not about to tear the engine down, as it is running perfectly fine. should i keep using sae 30 or go to 20-50. does it make any differences that this engine was at overheat when i observed this?
  10. my oil pressure drops to barely anything on the gauge when the truck is hot (overheated, i fixed that now) is this normal? could the gauge just be innacurate? maybe i should use thicker oil? i have SAE30 now. when the truck first starts, it sits 40 at idle.
  11. nope, but the sequels are always crappier. BTW merle, i need to convince my father that about 60 LBS compression out of an engine sitting awhile is normal, otherwise he is all thats holding me up right now. he thinks in terms of 180 being low compression, as he is a 2-stroke engineer. any ideas to convince him?
  12. #5 is your tank rusty at all? do you have the stock steel tank? have you seen the top? (most likely to rot) if it is worth saving, then drain all fuel, pull the tank, fill it with water and flush continuously, and then hire a good welder to weld it. i know wire feed is usually not good for sealing, so that is why i say that. i myself had an aluminum tank made by a friend for $100.
  13. if my facts are straight, then the spitfires are normally 25" heads, while normal PH trucks are built with 23" in the US
  14. no, its set up as an old pick-up bed trailer, looks 30's or 40's to me. i would get it, but my father controls all! (storage, that is!)
  15. found a knox tailgate up north, is this some aftermarket thing or what? thinkin of putting it on mine to confuse people.
  16. i had a good one at picknpull today, but they tried to rip me off. i told them where they could stuff that and left it there
  17. okay, just how wide is the seat? every time i measure it its different sized!
  18. alrighty then, so thats out. did chrysler ever build an inline six carbureted engine in OHV format? that may be easier to locate.
  19. i used a set from jegs, they work well, but i rebuilt around them, my original mounting area was rotted. you would have to take measurements and compare. http://www.jegs.com/p/Energy-Suspension/Energy-Suspension-Body-Mounts/743950/10002/-1
  20. if its not speeled right, i usually mark it as spam
  21. okay, so how would a slant six work out? i know where a few of those are in combines, so how would they bolt up to the bell housing and mountings on the front?
  22. hell, you can get em' at advance or autozone!
  23. some day my truck will be doing that again, but for now its aways away. mine is a WF-32 also
  24. i didnt change the motor, but i did chance the radiator. i used a 65' mustang radiator with some brackets, its shorter and narrower, making brackets much easier to use. MAKE SURE THE CAP IS OFFSET.
