  1. Sorry Don..nothing chitty about my car....lol Beside pontoons are quite bulky and would block access to getting in the car...so went for hydrafoils instead.
  2. Come on now John..get the Plymouth B.Cp. out and take it across..we all know the Mayflower floats...
  3. improper marking light front fender...
  4. documentation...? and why did it have AC controls and no AC..? Where did that ignition system come from much less the gauges..not period correct..maybe the bidder got it for the fish smell.
  5. I would say that the panels are worth more to him for his finished product, in other words he is in the busienss for top resale not to provide material for DIY's..even I think if you were going to do it yourself you would make your own blanks.
  6. I have worked for the government for 33 years...got much time logged at the watering hole, also 20 years military duty...and this is a first..I did laugh...
  7. Matt Dillon...don't want to shoot down your favorite western idol but after 23 years on TV..all he ever asked Miss Kitty for was a beer...but here is a bit of triva...Poncho Villa escaped across the Mexican border in a Dodge...
  8. If you are going with the home depot/lowe route..look at the thin bathroom paneling...get the on-pattern solid color stuff...will find that to be a bit moisture proof and thin enough..not expensive.
  9. Sounds like a fair deal to me...one less headache on the TO-DO list
  10. I have no intentions of using them on my Plymouths...I cannot justify the cost when my cars will in no way represent stock vehicle...I believe this is the thing you need to weigh...
  11. If you did not run out of gas..it could be the fuel pump gave up the ghost. On these TBI/Injected cars..key on runs pump for short 2-3 second burst to pressure the injectors..then when you start and the computer knows you have fire to the plugs..the car will start and power the pump agian. When you run out of fuel..about 5-6 key ons before starting will usually fully prime the system as it a recirc stlye setup. So you need to put your ear to the gas fill spout and see if you hear the pump run..if not..check the pump relay, if relay test good then check to see if you have fire at the plugs., if that is good...run diagnostics and see if you have a ASD problem..
  12. The miner's carbide lamp was a favorite to have growning up in the country as I did. We used to mount the headlight reflectors from old car headlights for a larger parabolic dish and man would that shoot a focused beam..objective was to shine through the somewhat murky spring time high water so to see the spawning fish when we went gigging at night...lots of fun...
  13. Now how many songs are there about billboards..I can recall one, Doodling Del Reeves ...catchy little tune
  14. Sure enough..and I appreciate the fact that she has removed her dress so as to prevent getting it soiled as she works on her car...
  15. Speaking of Dodge County..about 30 miles from the house Ithink is the county line...be a nice addition to the shop wall...lol I love it..Georgia tags have the county name at the bottom in large black letters...the entire county drives a Dodge...
  16. http://artgrafix.com/store/page13.html I think I have a sheet of this at home tucked away for a couple panels for the 52...sounds like it by description..have not used it yet...cannot vouch yeah or nay. Not a very heavy in weight but appears very strong material. I have always been fond of ABS plastic...industry has used this for years...I do have panels make of this stuff..the trunk panels in the Tiger are of ABS and they have a pig-skin texture on them that looks excellent...very pliable 16years later. http://www.americanplastics.net/abs_sheet.htm
  17. your tranny..don't forget the main reason for the heavier oil..."shear"
  18. Use nitrile gloves when I wet sand the body with acid on a overall panel refinish. Otherwise..no gloves.
  19. Are you saying his car was a chicken coupe????
  20. Will there be a big BASH....Only if he slips up and forgets..
  21. They have check valves built in..(flapper) empties on the the push stroke..refills on the return stroke..at least this one does.
  22. Got to also keep in mind that cars of today are driven about 125,00 miles in the first 5-7 years. A lot of these old cars here have not even approached that mark yet in over 50-60 years..my 53 is still under 45,000 miles. Door jamb oil change stickers supports this to be true mileage. Our old engines were also designed to be overhauled somewhere between 50-75 Kmiles plus its a know fact we stay on the road lot more than our grandparents ever imagined.
  23. I believe you have found a washer pump..sounds very much like one I hve here at the house and I KNOW it is a washer pump.
