  3. For only $299, we can buy,(ebay), an electric supercharger/turbo, turbonator, cold air intake system. Can produce up to 20 more HP(hampster power)..... Seems like only a year ago, they cost $10.......
  4. I seen this cold air intake system on ebay for $375.00..... I think I could go to Lowe's Home Improvement and get most of the parts for alot less money.....
  5. You can buy a spin on filter/adapter on ebay that would make it less of mess to change filters. A truck I had years ago, had one of these on the trans line, that made it easy to change the trans fluid also..
  6. There is an "announcement" section here, that would be a good place to state where and when events are going to be. Would give each of us some time to try to plan to go.
  7. What I read on the internet, when it comes to the rust treatment process, was to use soda wash, instead of baking soda. I try to keep a good supply of different cleaning materials in my shop, & always welcome tips on different ways to use them.
  8. I will have to try some of the Tide on a spill. I purchased 2 gallons today from my friend at the Flea Market .... I have Arm & Hammer laundry powder for my rust treatment process. I have not tried the Arm & Hammer for oil spills...
  9. Ohio has always been very big into old car events. I am hoping to get to ride my 38 Coupe to Ohio this year. I have a few long time friends in southern Ohio. Would be great to meet up with forum members also... I purchased my 37 Coupe in Columbus, Ohio, and my 37 Sedan from Cinn, Ohio...
  10. The cat litter has been my method for many years. I keep a cookie baking pan with cat litter under my Coupe all the time also. Even if I get a spill, I put a little litter on the oil, and let it sit.
  11. That brace looks very close to the brace I took out from under the headliner of a Mustange II. I used the brace for trunk supports.. I used the Mustange II roof to make fender skirts...
  12. To leave the original brake/clutch pedals in place is a big plus when adapting a newer MC. I used a simple piece of angle iron, a longer push rod, and a Mustang II MC, on my 48 Dodge, worked very good.... Many here have done something similar...
  13. ON my 38 Coupe a used a 94 Ford Bronco MC. Made a bracket, original brake pedals...
  14. From a 218 to a 230, is only 12 cubic inch. How much HP will you gain from 12 CI. What made my 38 Coupe more of a pleasure to drive, was when I installed the 5 speed trans. When I went from a 3.9 rear, to a 3.7 rear, it was a more pleasure to drive. My 38 Coupe has a 218 about 80 HP that is fun to drive now. With more power, maybe more fun to drive. I have a spare engine, 1956 230, rated at 130 HP. Maybe next winter...
  15. I was reading on a Ford forum, where guys are installing coolant filters on their trucks. Here is a couple of photos of a cut open filter to show what some of the filters catch...
  16. I put my electric fuel pump near the fuel tank also. Someone stated the pump pushes, better than im draws. I believe they were correct....
  17. My electric fuel pump is from Advance Auto parts, "Mr Gasket brand". My original fuel pump worked, but was always leaking at the bowl, tried seveal times to repair it, but no sucess. My little Coupe always starts easy now....
  18. I thought "chickie poo", was something like a "boobie bird"...
  19. On a NASCAR talk show, a question was ask, "what do NASCAR people use in the squirt bottle to help start the race cars. The answer was, "the same fuel they use in the race cars" Before I installed an electric fuel pump in my 38, I used the method to start my Coupe, after it had been sitting for any length of time.
  20. I rebuilt my original heater for my 38 Coupe. I had been looking for another heater for my 37, found one in the rear of a 15 passenger van.
  21. This little heater was on Ebay not long ago...
  22. I use my Asian stripper (Kawasaki) when removing paint or rust. The twisted wire brush last alot longer than non twisted wire.. Later use the DA sander...
  23. Coffee beans, heck they should try Pinto beans for alot more power....
  24. http://www.varietyvideosllc.com/about2.html A friend sent this link to me of an amazing project.,,1949
