it' going to be 70 all week here.. yes it does thin our blood.. comfy to 95,, hot to 105,, really hot 110 and over... 117 well..... we spend too much time at really hot ,, around 6-10 weeks at a time... this is our most pleasant time of the year.. as i drive around,, i see as many out of state licenses as ones from here.. SNOW BIRDS ....migrating from all over the frozen north... they all rumble back north when thaw starts.. wish i could go with them...

MAN... you guys are brutal !!! but i think that chop is terrible ... does make a good looking chop.. if done right.... you can't pancake a rounded car like that. -
where can they be found ??? not having one for my project ,, and i noticed it looks plain without one..haven't seen any for sale...

back in the 70's ,, wile riding our motorcycles ,,, one of our friends stripped the bolts that held the jug to the block on his harley... whole cylinder came up with the piston... he took a short chunk of wood and jamed it between top of head,, and frame... rode it for 2 years like that ......

I WISH I had a garage !!! everything sits outside .... I'm sure glad it's going to be 68-70 today... i'm sooo glad it's not summer !!! then it will be over 110 by day,, and 100 at nite for over a month at a time ... will be so hot you can't work outside.. there isn't even a heater in the house.. snuggies are good for chilly mornings...

thanks to this site,,, I now know WHAT my car is ,,, not just a '48 dodge,,, but a 4 door TOWN SEDAN that has been chopped... no wonder !!!

working as a tractor mechanic for over 30 years now ,,, you can find fine threads at tractor dealers ... they get a lot of vibration .... working in dirt gets a lot of bouncing ...

I think that is NOT the norm ... my 27 year old was really rebellious .. shaved her head except for a little tuft that she died lime green at 16.. ripped up her clothes to look cool,,that kind of crap..but that was for shock value... I had long ponytail and was building custom cars and hanging out with bikers back then.. but a 4 year old drinking and stealing is NOT acceptable... that kid needs some help !!

MAN,,, snow must be a bummer.... it's 70 today out here...think it will cool off to a chilly 60's by mid week..but come summer,,, 117 for over a month,, nites will average 95.. we are grateful for winter... only seen 3 1/2 " of rain out of a average of 6 " for hole year..

it's going to be 72 and a little cloudy here.. I really do like the winter in Arizona... a little less than 4" of rain since jan. i guess it makes up for getting so hot in summer that you can hardly move.

I'm just a old tractor mechanic,,but i say do as much as you can... yes replace the boot,, and clutch plate,, flywheel & p/plate resurface.. fix any leaks you can find.. if you have to get under and re/do anything you are going to be really REALLY mad..with that much crud that's built up on trans.. you had a small leak for quite a while...and once you clean the trans,, it will drip all over the floor and drive you crazy till you fix it..

MAN,, you wan't to see some weather,,last nite it got ALL the way down to 44 ,, i almost had to put a 2nd blanket on..and today it's a chilly 62.. OK,,OK,,, i'm laughing now,,,, but come summer,,it will be a comfortable 117-120.. then i will be wanting to be up there... not much need for snow suits here.. I guess that's why all the snowbirds are here.. my neighbor is from Minnesota , a few miles from the border..he arrived in oct,, and leaves in april..I can't imagine what it's like to be that cold... .........bob........

anything larger than a pencil,, a washer works great...you might have to grind to fit,,but it's better than having a lot of drips that you can't get to on underside..

here,, i don't even have a heater ...or a a/c.. sure do miss a/c .. in summer... but it's kind of cold right now... don't laugh,, but them sleeved blanket things ,, snuggie,, they work real good while playing on the computer,,,, and watching tv......and drinking..........look ma ,,,,, i can multi-task.......

Florence Arizona...1/2 way from phoenix,,and Tuscon...about 4 miles from where tom mix died... 10 miles from where all the old cowboy movies were made.. left so.cal. 10 years ago.. couldn't stand all the people/ traffic any more.. now i'm in middle of nowhere.... ..............bob......

It's pretty cold on Arizona floor,,, 40's last night,, and around 60 today.. I know,, but what you gonna do.. it doesn't get much colder here...but then again,,, summer it's going to get up to 117-120...at least they don't salt our roads.. you can drive your cars and motorcycles all year round.. that's why when i left so.cal. 10 years ago,, i looked over a lot of states,, and i moved here.... but i didn't really think about summer... it get's too hot..
