  17. possibly interested in the stone guards, how much?
  18. thanks Dale. I think we all appreciate any little ideas that could prove usefull in the future, also I think this stuff if nothing else reminds us to think about how something works mechanically and figure out how to adapt and overcome the obstacles.
  19. so, I worked on the Chevelle today, had to remove the driveshaft, remove exhaust headers, unhook all the tranny goodies, unbolt the trans, slide it back, replace the starter flexplate and assemble in reverse order of dissasembly. What fun it was. now when I start it up there is no grinding, no tight or loose spots, sounds like it should when cranking. I am pleased with my progress on the Chevelle project, I now have one of my drivers back into driver mode...
  20. check with sms auto fabrics in Oregon, they will send samples and they have large quantities of original materials, I got my '55 Belvedere seat materials from them and they were an exzact match, I am very pleased, I did pay $300 to re-do the front seat, but the car is in that good of condition to re-do as per factory. So, depending on how crazy you are try them out... http://www.smsautofabrics.com
  21. Concrete, WA
  22. I have a '52 B3B 1/2 ton Dodge and a '59 Chevy 3/4 ton Apache and a '84 Silverado 3/4 ton. I like trucks, oh, almost forgot the '48 International 1/2 ton KB1 still in the field. So I guess I have four right now.
  23. don't forget the heat. Heat is your best friend when freeing seized stuff up, lube and heat... just don't burn the house down doing it. perhaps use a heat gun or have some extingusing compound nearby.
  24. Congrats.. since you got married in your classic your vows will also be timeless. Enjoy every moment for better or for worse.
