  2. Sometimes I browse the Tube for mopar-related videos, to see what people are doing and maybe learn something new. For some reason, this is not going so well, lately. Today, I stumbled upon an adult person from Canada doing upgrades to a 1940 P10 chassis. And what do you know, 4 minutes into the video he is calling wheel bolts studs (???) and is stating that while the right hand side "studs" came right out, he was unable to get the "studs" on the left side out, not even with an extra long breaker bar, so he had to take the hub off... This person is doing paid work wrenching on classic cars... How's this even possible? 🙄 If some of you cannot do your own maintenance, be careful whom you let to work on your cars. Just saying.

  3. I didn't know that there were major differences in pcvs. At any rate, I put my vacuum gauge inline with the valve and had 7-8 "s at idle. I pinched the pcv off and reset the idle enrichment. Then I popped the top and compressed the step-up spring to soften its rate a bit. These changes made it pretty good. My first attempt, I changed the spring for a soft one and it was terrible. Anyways, hesitation is gone so I'm happy.

  4. I did ask about my turn signals, they said it will be ok. It was supposed to be in NY hence the NY plate. Yep radial tires. All the clothing that was worn was 100% original and the women all had their hair done to the 40s style What you missed is Plymouth did not make that color car in 37 Basically, we were all backdrop for the movie. I have not seen it yet but I am told my car was in the distance where the small things are not noticed. It was also a small production movie so they obviously took liberties. We were paid several hundred pounds, Hotel for 2 nights, travel expenses, and because I was also in costume I got paid a little more. Filming was 12 Hours 5 pm to 5 am with dinner at 1 am included.

  8. Sounds like desoto1939 doesn’t understand hotrodding… Cars to normal folks are simply transportation. Hotrods are an extension of the owner. It’s a canvas to express yourself on. Simple or wild and everywhere in between. Dual carbs, dual pipes, lumpy cam, finned head, staggered rubber, chrome reverses, baby moons, spider caps, cheaters, pie crusts, lake pipes, steep gears, primer paint, candy paint, flames or hand laid pin stripes, and more. Nobody does these things with concern for the environment, comfort or good fuel economy!!! Hotrodders get it, everyone else looks at us like we are crazy! We do it because it’s what we love. Everybody knows when building a hotrod, don’t save the receipts and never tell your wife how much you spent!
