Rodney Bullock Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 I have to have this brake system worked on as I don't know anything about a power brake system for this car. There are also some little thing that have to be addressed as I don't have a lift. Quote
55 Fargo Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Rodney, is all I can say is "WOW", that car looks "KILLER", man you have done this so quick. I can see a whole lot of work has gone into your car, it looks FANTASTIC, hope to see your cars and other in the real life someday............Fred Quote
40phil41 Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Rodney, Truly a work of art. This is one gorgeous automobile. In the time it has taken me to dis-assemble my '64 Tempest you have completely restored this car. Congratulations. Phil Quote
PatS.... Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Beautiful job, Rodney...the wires and wide whites are the perfect touch on that beauty. Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted June 28, 2008 Author Report Posted June 28, 2008 You know coming from you guy's this is a real compliment. The final years of the Studebaker car company was in Canada and this is where you guy's are from, I feel very good about the project and your response. I have always wondered if you all have some of these parts that are so hard to find. My car is a 61 so I guess you all used all those parts. I really appriciate your kind words. Quote
55 Fargo Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 That is a great year as I know someone who was born that year.......... Quote
Normspeed Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 From the left coast, Rodney...Bitchin car. Quote
Don Coatney Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 So Rodney; What car will you be driving to Tennessee? PS, did the horns work out for you? Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted June 29, 2008 Author Report Posted June 29, 2008 Don, how far are you from "pigeon forge" I know I am not spelling it right however you know what I mean. I can't get them horns to work because I don't have everything, I need a horn relay. I am supposed to be going there with some folks later in the summer. That's in Tenn. right:) maybe I can hook up with you than. Normspeed that's a huge compliment coming from the home of the custom. when we talk about a great design we always say California custom because we dig what is done out there. thanks This had to be the best thing I could muster up because it is the last for me, the folks that do alot of this chroming and radiator, glass, painting and vendoring are really killing a small time operation like I got, I think from now on I will just buy the car of my dreams rather than build it. It's a shame because I love doing it, the sleepless nights and high blood pressure is a rush for me. When I see the finished product I am beat but happy;) Quote
Don Coatney Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 Don, how far are you from "pigeon forge" Rodney; I am about 300 miles from pigeon forge. How far are you from Detroit? There is a POC meet there this summer and you could get your Plymouth judged. Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted June 29, 2008 Author Report Posted June 29, 2008 Wow, 300 miles I thought Tenn was a small state. We have a POC meet here that is closer I think Hershey has a meet October. Don, I would have to do some more upgrades to drive to Tenn maybe we could meet in NC. Quote

greg g Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 Hey Rodney you going to the Studebaker meet in September. It is Lancaster. We will be in HAwaii at the time so can't make it. Its the Antique Studebaker clubs Fall National. http://www.theantiquestudebakerclub.com/ Speaking of StuDebakers, I installed my refurbished transmission, new flywheel and starter. Got the radiator support and radiator on. Got the Chevy Drive shaft measured for modification to fit. Right now it's sitting on a tow dollie waiting to be trasnported to the fellow who has benn working on my cab. He will be mounting it up to make sure it is alligned to the frame so the floors and doors will be straight as possible. Funny not to see it in the garage. It been sitting there since last may. I may be able to drive it after I get back frm Hawaii. Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted June 29, 2008 Author Report Posted June 29, 2008 Norm's coupe your right I know they would, after that shilacing I took at Sully I will stick to the shows that like good looks and not points. Greg, If the wife and I don't go away for my birthday we will be at the Lancaster, PA I think there will be another movie going on by then. Don, I would like to put another trans in my Plymouth for long distance travel. That's the only upgrade I was thinking of. Quote
Don Coatney Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 Rodney; Today is my birthday so go ahead and do the transmission. I thought the shilacing (what the hell ever that is) you took at Sully was done by Greg and I. Quote

Rodney Bullock Posted July 2, 2008 Author Report Posted July 2, 2008 Fred, did you install new rubber around the doors and trunk of your car yet. I remeber you were asking the question about dust proofing. I was thinking about you when I put all the rubber on this Stude. I was thinking to myself that while I try to do this to the best of my abilty they still leak in the trunk and sometimes the door lets water in:mad: We try hard and well sometimes things still fall a little short. Time will tell. Thanks for the compliment. Quote
