Auveco carries the specialty screws that some of the trim pieces need.

you need special screws for the 51/52 at the garnish molding..it has a special name and dang but it eludes me now. what you have is a size 8 body with a size 6 head..to put a standard 8 in place wil damage the molding should you try to crank it down to seat the head as the head is larger than the stamped recess. To insert a size 6 and it will not tighten properly due to the smaller screw body.

thats the company that should have these. Looks like they themselves don't sell to the public so you will have to find a distributor. At home I should have the name of the place I ordered seat upholstery clips for my pickup from.

Tim, I think you are looking for the name: "chrome phillips oval - Jackson (undersized) head" . You can find them either in chrome plated or stainless.

Thanks a lot...Jackson head screw..that's the ticket...could not remember that at all...I know my 51/52 garnish is assembled with these Jackson head screws..the 8 size head will crown (protrude) above the molding and if you try to crank it down will distort your metal..damage the paint etc...

Dang! I've been trying to find those here in New Zealand, and even the speciality places have'nt seen them before.
