Frank Gooz Posted December 13 Report Posted December 13 Good evening, I could use everyone’s input. I will be replacing the run channel on my 1950 Dodge Coronet. All the run channel in my car is about 13/16 wide. I feel they are all original. I am the second owner, all four pieces are the same, they look the same to each other. And all the clips and things are still in place. BUT i have not found any new material this wide yet. Have any of you had to deal with this? And what did you use? Thank you Frank Quote

Ivan_B Posted December 13 Report Posted December 13 (edited) Google tells me it's the fuzzy window molding\seal where the glass sits. Edited December 13 by Ivan_B Quote
Frank Gooz Posted December 13 Author Report Posted December 13 I seen it called the run channel. Is the material the is in the door the receives the the glass between the garnish molding and the door it self. Some look like felt, the material looks like the wiper that is on the door and the garnish molding. Quote
Frank Gooz Posted December 13 Author Report Posted December 13 Just an FYI i have seen NO SOLUTION Quote
Bob Riding Posted December 13 Report Posted December 13 Hey Frank- Restoration Specialties and Supply was my go-to vendor when I did my '40 wagon. They have an amazing variety of what they call "window channels". Good quality stuff. Have fun choosing! 1 Quote
moparfun Posted December 13 Report Posted December 13 I used Mike at MikeCo (805) 482-1725, he is very knowledgable when it comes to our vehicles Quote
Bob Riding Posted December 13 Report Posted December 13 Another excellent vendor is Restoration Supply. You can download their catalog. They carry stuff that nobody else has. 1 Quote
Dan Hiebert Posted December 14 Report Posted December 14 Ditto Bob Riding's first post. I bought run channel from Restoration Specialties and Supply for both our D24 and the '57 Ford I was working on a couple years ago. I'll be buying the run channel for our '37 Terraplane from them in a few months. Quote
Frank Gooz Posted Tuesday at 08:20 AM Author Report Posted Tuesday at 08:20 AM I will look into both Restoration Specialties, I already have a catalog but did not see anything as big as the stuff that came off my car. Then MikeCo. Thank all of you for your input. Frank 1 Quote
