I have a Newport Engineering unit installed on my car and have no complaints at all. Install was easy and customer service was great when i called with a few questions.

I rigged up a modern 12v window motor for my wipers. It works fine on 6v. I will be refining it this spring and adding a park feature. It cost 15 bucks.

Did you do a comparison between 12 & 6 volts? - curious how much slower it runs on the lower voltage.

No 6v version though,

I used the Newport in a P15 BC and it worked like a charm.  Never any issues with it.

No I didnt. But i will assume half as fast. Regardless, it's fast enough.

I have a 49 Business Coupe and I retained the vacuum wipers but added a dual chamber fuel pump. The top section produces vacuum at the moment you need it when pressing down on the gas pedal. Most electric wipers require 12 volts and have two speeds. The vacuum wipers have infinite speeds. Since I plan to keep the 6 volt system this was my old time solution.

Is this the AC 4286 fuel pump? I like this.
