Marty C
Hello everyone I have a set of four 15in tires on my 1952 Dodge Coronet with tubes inside. There is some rot on a few of the rims so I need to replace all 4 rims so I can use modern tubeless radials. anybody know the bolt pattern? What full size Chrysler should I google to find 15in rims to fit my Dodge?
Plymouthy Adams
you should be able to use the wheels from the commonly found Diplomat/5th Ave rear wheel drive cars. Take note on some older Mopars...at the front you may need a very thin spacer to prevent wheel bulge from radial hitting the tie rod ends. Also you will not be able to use your original hubcaps. Do not chunk your old wheels without removing the clips for the cap. Edited June 16, 2023 by Plymouthy Adams
Doug&Deb
Marty I use 15x7 Mopar police wheels. The bolt pattern is 4 1/2 inch. The original caps fit but I had issues with them popping off so I run the dog dish Mopar caps with trim rings. Some baby moon caps fit also. I run 225/75-15 radials with no rubbing issues.
Marty C
I really want to use my original hubcaps but thanks everyone now I know they are 4&1/2 bolt pattern ill keep looking
Doug&Deb
You can put radials on the original rims. Coker makes a bias looking tire that will fit correctly and have the right diameter so your speedometer is accurate. 1
Marty C
One or two of my rims have severe “rim rot” ?
Marty C
I found one wheel so far , got it for $10 bucks
greg g
Watch the backspace on these later wheels. Backspace is the measurement from the center of a straight edge placed across the back side of the rim, down to the center flange ( the area the lug holes are). I believe 4 inches is the limit. Deeper backspace will have interference between tire side wall front at tie rods and rear on leaf springs. Sniper
This is a P255/60R15 on a 15x7 Mopar cop car rim AND a 1.25" bolt on spacer. Shown is the closest point and as mentioned, it gets close to the tie rod end. The closest point is the upper pivot bolt head. Maybe a half inch clearance. Doug&Deb
Marty since you have full wheel covers you should be able to use them on any wheels you find. Like every one says be careful of the backspacing.
