DakotaFrank Posted August 11, 2022 Report Posted August 11, 2022 I hope this topic is okay for this forum. What years, and where were Plymouth trucks sold. I occasionally see Plymouth trucks from the 30’s - 40’s online. Did these continue into the 50’s - 60’s? Thanks. Quote
Young Ed Posted August 11, 2022 Report Posted August 11, 2022 Yes they are certainly allowed. They were made 37-41. The 37-38 are a little more unique as they followed the car styling compared to 39-41 which is basically a dodge with a different upper grill and tailgate. I've got a basket case 40 stashed for a future project 1 Quote
DakotaFrank Posted August 11, 2022 Author Report Posted August 11, 2022 Thanks! A related question, were Desoto brand trucks sold in the US and/or Canada, or only for export, or made in other countries. Quote
TodFitch Posted August 11, 2022 Report Posted August 11, 2022 To the best of my knowledge, there was never a DeSoto branded truck sold in the US. For Canada I believe they used the Fargo branding. 1 Quote
Merle Coggins Posted August 12, 2022 Report Posted August 12, 2022 Plymouth trucks also returned in the '80's with the Trailblazer, based on the Ramcharger, and a Plymouth (Arrow) version of the D50. Also, don't forget the Horizon TC3 based pickup truck. For reference I found this article. https://www.autos.ca/classic-cars/motoring-memories-plymouth-trucks-1937-1941-and-1974-1983/ 1 1 Quote
Mike Fix Posted August 21, 2022 Report Posted August 21, 2022 I have a Chrysler truck that is even smaller than the Plymouth Arrow. I didn't build it but it even had an article in Jalopnik about it. https://jalopnik.com/this-matte-black-chrysler-pt-cruiser-pickup-will-haunt-1844001303 Quote
