Slickster Posted February 10, 2021 Report Posted February 10, 2021 48 P15, replacing control arm bushings, saw a magnetic camber tool that sticks to brake rotor and gives camber angle, how would I use that on drums? Won't stick to dust cup boss, axle in the way, any ideas? Thanks Quote
dpollo Posted February 10, 2021 Report Posted February 10, 2021 try a drilled plate which will go against the machined edge of the hub and will be held in place by the spindle nut. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted February 10, 2021 Report Posted February 10, 2021 (edited) Pull the front drum grease cap off...many magnetic caster/camber gauges attach magnetically directly to the machined surrounding flat area where the grease cap fits. Edited February 10, 2021 by Dodgeb4ya 1 Quote

I agree most of the ones I've seen have a ring magnet with a spring loaded centering pin in the middle. As such they will fit on any car even most front drive cars (some require a "Top Hat" shaped fixture tho) 2 Quote
Eneto-55 Posted February 10, 2021 Report Posted February 10, 2021 (edited) Here's one I have, that I posted pictures of in the Show Your Tools thread on Dec 08, 2010. Here is what I think is a link to that post. It doesn't go right to it, but it is on page 3 of that thread. Edited February 10, 2021 by Eneto-55 1 Quote

It sucks getting old...haha! Edited February 11, 2021 by ccudahy Quote
