Who is also on the POC forum?

I know Chet B participates there on the Plymouth Owners Club board.

Thought I would join just to have another source of product specific information. So I did as they require now, sent some info to the moderator for his approval. Have not yet joined the POC.....had gotten an app while

in Tulsa. The nearest chapter, far as I can tell, is around St Louis. That's

about a 4 hour drive from here......so not real handy.

Was just curious as to who else joins in there.

I used to visit there before I found this forum. The POC folks were a good bunch, considering I posted a number of times about modifying instead of restoring. They knew I had just bought my Plymouth after many years of non-flathead life, and I think they cut me some slack. There are some other international Plymouth guys there, Go Fleiter being one.

I found it interesting that there was very little hoopla on the POC forum about both Tulsa (not a POC National do) and Concord (was a POC National do). This forum had more information on both of these Plymouth get-togethers. I am a proud to participate on this forum as a POC-OC member.

That stuff was old hat to them..we on the other hand found it a great opportunity to get together and put faces with names we know from the forum...the tailgate was a hit...good food, plenty of it..I am glad I made the trip even if I was driving a late model mini van...long live the 2000 T&C gold bug...

I post under another handle. You can prolly figure which by the prose, lack of spelling and area of answers. Not much activity over there. Som good fellows on the technical end. Doesn't seem to be a sense of community there. Perhaps the get that at their regional meetings.

I'm a POC member and have a profile on the POC forum but I find this forum far more interesting, active and just down-right fun. I only occasionally venture over to the POC site and even more infrequently do I post. I think my posts number about 20 over there.

I too am a member over there. I rarely use it though. Had a question about a product the club sold me that was incomplete and they had said it would be completed for all of the purchasers in the future. Every time I, or someone else, brought the subject up they would delete it. Not too impressed where a legitmate question is censored. Others have complained about the same question being deleted too. Besides, there really isn't near the traffic that we have here. GT has put together the best forum on the net, bar none as far as I can see.

I'm in the POC, but not sure why sometimes. I joined to get info when I was building my Flattie, but I never found it there. The message board is glacier slow. I learned more here and on ForwardLook.net than in the POC.

The POC is fun if you are into points style judging, perfect restoration, or if you are not looking for a lot of information. If you need info and help, the free forums on the internet are much better.

I am no longer a member of the POC, but I read the POC forum on occasion, by clicking the "new posts since last visit" button at the top.

I find that when I check in, maybe once a month or so, there are only a handfull of new threads. I only post if I have something usefull to add to the questions asked.

The only time I look at the POC forum is if someone makes a post here with a link to a thread. Then I still do not look at most of those. I took my profile off the POC forum a long time ago. This is the only car forum I take part in.

I would be willing to bet that just about everyone into pre 60's Mopar's who is a member of the POC forum also comes to this one. A lot of them just don't post very much or not at all.

At least GTK doesn't delete anyone's post here unless it's vulgar or some spam post. Can't say that for the POC forum from what I hear.
